What is different about Mega Malamar?
According to its official profile, Mega Evolution enlarges Malamar’s brain and makes its body glow in vivid colors. Psychic power runs through the luminous tips of its tentacles. Mega Malamar can press its tentacles into its head to stimulate its brain, rapidly boost that power, and unleash a concentrated psychic attack. See Mega Malamar’s official profile.
Its hypnosis is more powerful
The profile says Mega Malamar’s colored glow intensifies its hypnotic abilities to the point that it can overwrite another being’s personality or memories. It also describes the Pokémon as highly intelligent and haughty, with glowing tendrils that sense others’ feelings. If it disagrees with a trainer’s order, it may hypnotize the trainer. These are fictional traits in the Pokémon profile, not real-world claims.
