Where to buy a PS5 Pro
Start with Sony’s PS5 buying page to find online retail options, or check the US PS5 Pro product page for Sony’s direct PlayStation purchase route. Sony also points buyers to participating retailers. Which options are available depends on your country, so use the local PlayStation site or retailer rather than assuming a listing in another region applies to you.

How to choose a listing
Compare the actual offer, not just the displayed console price. Before ordering, check these details on the seller’s listing:
- Stock and delivery: Confirm that the console is available to order in your country and note the stated delivery date.
- Total cost: Compare the checkout total, including shipping, with Sony’s recommended price for your market.
- Seller and terms: Confirm who is selling the console, and review that seller’s return policy and warranty terms.
- Disc needs: The PS5 Pro is a 2TB, disc-free console. If you play physical PS5 games, factor in the separately sold compatible PS5 Disc Drive.
Sony’s US product page advertises free standard delivery and free returns, plus free express delivery for PlayStation Plus members. Those are US-specific terms; check the current local page for the terms that apply to your order.
Rank #2
- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
Do you need the separate disc drive?
PS5 Pro does not include a disc drive. Sony says the optional PS5 Disc Drive is sold separately, and its PS5 Pro compatibility guide confirms drive support. It is relevant if you want to play physical PS5 games; if you use digital games, you may not need to buy it.

Sony highlights ray tracing, PSSR image clarity and higher frame rates for PS5 Pro-enhanced games. Improvements depend on the game: Sony’s feature information says availability and features vary by title, so do not assume every PS5 game receives the same upgrade. See Sony’s PS5 Pro launch announcement for its description of the console and its game-dependent features.
If you are also buying accessories, note that Sony’s compatibility guide says PS5 console cover sets for model groups CFI-1000 and CFI-2000 are not compatible with PS5 Pro.
