HotHardware listed two Fortnite Flowering Chaos PS5 bundles at prices it described as $100 off, alongside discounts on VR headsets, handheld PCs and racing wheels. Those figures are historical; check current retailer listings before buying.
What the PS5 deals were
HotHardware reported that Best Buy had the following prices on December 26, 2025. Its stated discounts compare those prices with higher prices; the article does not establish that either offer remains active today.
| Bundle | Reported price | Reported discount | Key difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 1TB Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundle | $449.99 at Best Buy | $100 off, according to HotHardware | Disc drive and 1TB storage |
| PS5 Digital Edition 825GB Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundle | $399.99 at Best Buy | $100 off, according to HotHardware | Digital-only and 825GB storage |
Sony’s November 2025 Black Friday announcement lists recommended prices of $449.99 for the 1TB bundle and $399.99 for the 825GB Digital Edition bundle. That confirms the bundle configurations and Sony’s recommended pricing, but not Best Buy’s later post-Christmas discount. Sony also cautions that promotions vary by region and retailer and that prices and availability may vary. Sony’s Black Friday 2025 announcement and HotHardware’s December 26 roundup provide the original details.
Which PS5 bundle was the better deal?
The $50 difference in the reported prices bought two practical advantages in the 1TB model: a Blu-ray disc drive and 175GB more storage than the 825GB Digital Edition. Whether that premium made sense depended on how you play, not just on the discount.
#1 Best Overall
- Model Number CFI-2000
- Includes DualSense Wireless Controller, 1TB SSD, 2 Horizontal Stand Feet, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, printed materials, ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
- Vertical Stand sold seperately
- Choose the disc-drive bundle if you use physical PS5 games or Blu-ray discs, or value the extra storage.
- Choose the Digital Edition if you buy games digitally and would rather pay less up front than get a disc drive and additional storage.
- Consider the Fortnite content separately. Sony says both bundles include PlayStation-exclusive in-game cosmetics and 1,000 V-Bucks. HotHardware describes a voucher for eight exclusive cosmetics plus the V-Bucks. If you do not want the included content, compare the console with other current offers instead of treating the bundle’s advertised value as a saving.

The December 2025 prices should not be mistaken for October 2026 offers. For current digital-game promotions, check the PlayStation Store US Deals page; its catalog changes over time, so confirm the price and sale end date on the individual game listing. A PlayStation Store Holiday Sale reported by Tom’s Guide ran through January 21, 2026, and is over; it is an example of a past digital-sale period, not an active offer. Tom’s Guide’s January 2026 sale coverage describes that expired promotion.
