PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ Update 41.1 introduced Xeno Point, a four-player cooperative PvE mission on Miramar, and a limited-time Stellar Blade crossover featuring EVE as a Contender. Both the mode’s service window and the crossover’s announced promotional windows ended in May 2026; PUBG’s announcements do not confirm a return.
When Update 41.1 arrived
PUBG dated its Update 41.1 patch notes April 8, 2026. The listed maintenance schedule was April 8 for PC and April 16 for console, both in UTC. PUBG noted that featured updates could change before release, so the notes describe the announced update rather than guaranteeing what is in the current live build. The update also added destructible terrain to Erangel, along with a Pickaxe, Hybrid Scope and Tilted Grip, among other gameplay changes. Those additions provide context for the patch, but Xeno Point and the Stellar Blade crossover were its headline additions for players seeking co-op PvE or crossover cosmetics.
What is Xeno Point in PUBG?
Xeno Point is a cooperative PvE mode set on Miramar after an alien vessel called the Construct releases hostile entities. The mission is to fight through sectors, reach the Mothership and defeat the Architect before time runs out. It uses third-person perspective and supports squads of up to four. PUBG’s Xeno Point announcement describes entry through Play > Arcade > Xeno Point.

How a run is structured
- Start in the HUB. From there, enter a sector, eliminate enemies and complete its objectives.
- Return after clearing the sector. On Normal difficulty, a successful return unlocks more sectors, and the team chooses which to tackle next.
- Choose a route based on difficulty. On Hard and Impossible, all doors are open from the start except the Tier 4 boss sector. Objectives unlock sector doors, and missions become harder as players advance.
- Defeat Sector Commanders. Enemies and bosses have different weaknesses; PUBG advises matching weapons and Supers to the weakness exposed during the fight.
Progression, Supers and team roles
Enemies and missions award Fragments, Skill Points and gear. In the HUB, spend Fragments at the Crafting Station to craft or upgrade Supers. Crafting or upgrading selects a random Super from those available; once a full set is complete, it can be upgraded further. Blue Chip Skills provide stat and combat bonuses, and Skill Points let players buy or refund skills and rework their tree. Some Supers grow stronger in combination, making coordination useful beyond simply bringing a full squad.
The Xeno Cannon is a signature weapon that deals increased damage to enemies and uses exclusive ammunition. The announcement says Sector Commanders and Fabricators can provide that ammunition.
What happens when a player dies?
Death resets progress except for Supers, Blue Chip Skills, and unspent Fragments and Skill Points. That makes the distinction between equipped progression and unspent resources important: not everything earned during a run is lost, but not everything is preserved either.

Team size, matchmaking and difficulty
- Group size: Up to four players; solo entry is allowed.
- Matchmaking: Incomplete groups are not filled by matchmaking, so a solo player or smaller party will not be paired with others to make a full team.
- Difficulty: Normal, Hard and Impossible are available. Difficulty remains at squad level regardless of how many players enter.
- Team damage: Team kills are disabled.
That combination matters if you plan to enter alone: the mode permits solo play, but it does not scale difficulty down to account for a smaller team.

Mode records and rewards
Xeno Point did not grant XP or gameplay rewards, did not appear in Match History or Career, and did not support replays. PC players could view Total Score rankings and records on PUBG Bridge; the announcement said those records would remain available after the mode ended.
Is Xeno Point still playable?
No—not under the service dates in PUBG’s announcement. The listed windows ended in May 2026, and the announcement provides no later return date. All times below are UTC and refer to the historical schedule:

PUBG also listed an Event Pass: Xeno Point for $3.99, with a one-level purchase for 100 G-Coin. Those were historical offer terms tied to the mode’s platform-specific windows, not current prices or evidence of a live offer.
What did the PUBG x Stellar Blade collaboration add?
The crossover brought Stellar Blade protagonist EVE into PUBG as a Contender. PUBG called her the game’s third Contender and its first Ultimate Contender. Her appearance and hair colors unlocked in stages, and unlocked hairstyles and outfits could be combined. The collaboration also included a Crafter Pass, Workshop crafting, caches and missions. The announcement listed a Crafter Pass: Stellar Blade Basic Pack at $11.99, including the Premium Pass, one Stellar Blade Loot Cache and 100 Stellar Blade Tokens. A separate Stellar Blade Rush Pack was listed at 3,300 G-Coin with five Loot Caches, 300 tokens, 10 levels and EVE’s Prayer nameplate; it did not include the Premium Pass. The pass maxed out at level 70, with XP required per level gradually increasing after level 40. These are 2026 announcement terms, not current store listings.

Daily, weekly, season and achievement missions awarded tokens and caches for crafting. PUBG listed 20 Special Crafting items, including the EVE Record File, character sets, helmet and backpack sets, a Stellar Blade parachute, pan, Blood Edge, Milky Pop, drone and logo. The PC Special Crafting tab and tokens were scheduled to expire May 18, 2026 at 00:00 UTC; on console, the stated expiry was May 26, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. Expired tokens could not be exchanged or refunded.
Loot Cache packs were also offered during the promotion, including a one-cache pack listed at 250 G-Coin or 10,000 BP, with larger bundles available. The announcement listed regional restrictions for Belgium and the Netherlands. These sales windows ended in May 2026, so the published prices should not be treated as current.
Missions and prizes
Listed missions included parachuting 800 meters, dealing 500 total damage and surviving 120 minutes; four Stellar Blade Loot Caches were listed as obtainable mission rewards. A separate mission, “The Collector,” required collecting and upgrading EVE to level 6 and listed Stellar Blade – Wasteland as its reward. PC and console had separate April-to-May 2026 schedules.

A web event offered lucky-draw tickets for missions. Its physical prizes included an engraved keyboard, artisan keycap and mousepad set for two winners, artisan keycaps for two winners, and mousepads for two winners, as well as time-limited G-Coin prizes. These were competition prizes, not products identified as ordinary retail stock.

The collaboration’s announced mission, pass, cache and crafting windows have passed. PUBG said featured items might become available again through the Workshop, Your Shop, in-game features, events or promotions, but it did not schedule a return. Check current in-game notices for confirmation before expecting a particular item to be obtainable.

For secondary Update 41.1 changes, PUBG’s notes describe Erangel terrain destructible by Frag Grenades, Mortars, Panzerfausts, C4, the Pickaxe and vehicle explosions, while warning that destructibility could be limited in some areas. The developer specifically said Erangel did not get Sanhok-style building destruction. The Hybrid Scope switches between 1x and 4x with the Sight Change key; PUBG listed the Tilted Grip at +12% vertical recoil control, +6% horizontal recoil control and +25% camera-shake control while firing. These are published patch specifications, not independent performance tests.
