The report attributes the clips to fans who spotted them on Reddit. Their authenticity, original uploader and recording dates have not been established by the sources available.
What the reported clips show
Insider Gaming’s Anthony Fertino described brief scenes from four games. The following details are attributed to that report; the clips have not been independently authenticated or frame-checked here.
- Assassin’s Creed III: Connor uses a mast while infiltrating a ship.
- Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag: The report identifies the in-progress title as Golden Age.
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: The clips reportedly include an early user interface and Jacob Frye riding a carriage through an incomplete environment. The report identifies the in-progress title as Victory.
- Assassin’s Creed Origins: The reported footage includes a location sync and a leap of faith.
Insider Gaming characterized the footage as broadly similar to the released games, with some design elements appearing settled. That is the outlet’s impression, not a verified account of development decisions.
What is—and is not—confirmed
The leak-specific account comes from Insider Gaming’s contemporaneous secondary report. It says fans spotted the clips on Reddit, but does not establish who uploaded them or how they were obtained. The available sources do not establish the clips’ authenticity, the builds they came from, or when they were recorded. Ubisoft’s official game listings confirm the existence of released titles and editions, but do not authenticate the clips or comment on the leak.

Ubisoft lists Syndicate as released on October 23, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and Origins as released on October 27, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox and Steam (Syndicate; Origins). These pages document the finished releases, not the reported prototypes.
How to compare the clips with the released games
A short clip can show what appears on screen, but it cannot by itself explain why a feature looks different or what changed during production. If comparing a reported scene with a finished game, keep the comparison to visible details:
Rank #2
- Play through three of the greatest entries in the acclaimed Assassin’s Creed series, featuring the franchise’s most iconic hero, Ezio Auditore.
- Immerse yourself in three classic adventures featuring enhanced visuals on the current generation of consoles.
- Experience every moment in legendary Assassin Ezio’s epic journey from a young nobleman to fearless leader of the Brotherhood of Assassins.
- Explore deeper into Ezio’s incredible saga with two bonus short films that go beyond the trilogy.
- Make history across 80 hours of gameplay including three complete games and all single-player add-on content previously released.
- Scene and action: Check whether the same gameplay beat appears in the released game, rather than inferring a broader design change from a brief excerpt.
- Animation and movement: Compare the visible motion and timing, without assuming a difference represents a finalized change.
- Interface and camera: Note visible layout and framing differences; their cause or development history is not established by the report.
- Environment: An incomplete-looking scene may be a work in progress, but the clips alone do not establish when or why it was recorded.
The report provides scene descriptions, not a documented side-by-side analysis. Claims that a feature was added, removed or finalized would require evidence beyond these brief clips.
