That combination looks distinctive, but the TGS material does not establish how well it holds up across the full game. The TGS details below are Capcom’s; the hands-on account is from a separate Gamescom session.
What Capcom showed at TGS 2025
In its September 24, 2025 announcement, Capcom said visitors could play a Japanese-voice version of PRAGMATA at TGS. The science-fiction adventure follows Hugh Williams, a human in a spacesuit, and Diana, an android girl. Their Shelter serves as a base for their journey. Capcom described the combat as “hacking × action”: Hugh uses a range of weapons while Diana hacks enemy bots, with hacking nodes adding effects to her abilities. Capcom’s TGS announcement

What is PRAGMATA gameplay like?
The defining idea is to make shooting and puzzle-solving happen together. In Dashiell Wood’s roughly 20-minute Gamescom 2025 hands-on for TechRadar, Hugh moved, aimed and fired while a grid puzzle appeared for Diana. Completing the puzzle triggered a burst of damage. Wood found the combination surprisingly engaging.
That account also describes nodes that alter the hacking grid, including effects that weaken enemy defenses or increase weapon damage, plus a high-damage shotgun with limited ammunition. Those are details from TechRadar’s Gamescom session, not confirmed contents of the TGS build. They illustrate how the system may reward choosing when to hack and which weapon to use, but one short demo cannot establish the full game’s variety, balance or staying power.

#1 Best Overall
- Out-of-This-World Adventure – Stranded on a lunar space station, Hugh encounters Diana, a mysterious android resembling a young girl. While searching for a way back to Earth, they fight to survive against Bots directed to “neutralize” intruders.
- Hack & Shoot – Use each character’s distinct abilities to take down enemies. In combat, Diana can hack foes to expose weaknesses so Hugh can blast them with weapons. This unique fusion of gameplay offers an action-packed experience like no other.
- Space Exploration – Teamwork also extends to traversing the station. Utilize the thrusters in Hugh’s futuristic suit to dash and hover around while Diana hacks security systems to solve puzzles. Only together can they overcome all obstacles.
- Collect and Customize – Gather materials while exploring the station to unlock upgrades, build out a diverse arsenal of weapons, obtain new outfits, and more. Once you’re ready, use the new gear in battle and take on even greater challenges!
Hacking also applies to the lunar facility
Diana can hack facility systems as well as enemy bots, and Capcom says facility hacking uses a different kind of puzzle from combat hacking. The pair can open escape hatches to return to the Shelter; once opened, those hatches remain accessible from the base. Capcom’s gameplay and systems overview
The Shelter links preparation with exploration
Capcom France’s September 25, 2025 recap of the TGS online program showed a new location and the Shelter. Hugh and Diana can craft or improve weapons and hacking nodes there. The recap also named three additions:
Rank #2
- Unique Hack and Shoot Game – The fight starts with disarmament of the enemy armor – otherwise players will find it difficult to get any actual injury to enemies. This is where Diana pops up! It can use its real-time hacking ability to destroy the enemy armour, allowing Hugh to attack their weak spots. With an arsenal of unique weapons and the evolutions of hacking mechanics, PRAGMATA offers a fascinating combat system that has never been seen in the action adventure title.
- THE WORLD RUGGED BY AI-Intelligence - The moon research station was taken over by the AI system that tried to recreate the human world using 3D printing material known as Luna filament. Explore twisted interpretations of AI Times Square and lush forests, all within the boundaries of a moon research station, including a unique introduction of where the future using artificial intelligence takes us.
- Enchanting Characters - PRAGMATA follows the unlikely adventure between man and android - Hugh can sometimes be a little sarcastic but is a kind soul, and Diana is a curious and enigmatic android that is known to throw caution on the wind! Experience how their connection grows during their mission to return to Earth.
- Piercing Cannon: a new weapon.
- Decoy Generator: another piece of new equipment.
- Multihacking: a node that lets Diana neutralize several enemies’ defenses at once.
The Shelter’s tram connects to escape hatches the pair has already unlocked, and those hatches also serve as save points. Capcom France’s TGS program recap
What the preview can—and cannot—tell you
The hook is clear: combat asks the player to manage Hugh’s real-time movement, aiming and shooting alongside Diana’s hacking puzzles. That could create a rhythm unlike a conventional shooter or a puzzle game played in isolation. But the TGS presentation and a short Gamescom demo are snapshots, not evidence that the idea stays varied or balanced throughout the campaign.
Rank #3
- An all-new Science Fiction action adventure with its own unique hacking twist!
- PRAGMATA—An original IP from Capcom. It is the near future, and protagonists Hugh and his android companion Diana, must work together as they make their way through the cold lunar research station.
- A Nintendo Switch Online membership may be required for online play. Please check the game detail page on Nintendo.com for membership requirements.
- PRAGMATA is a trademark and/or registered trademark of CAPCOM CO., LTD. and/or its subsidiaries in the U.S. and/or other countries. CAPCOM
So the most accurate impression is promising, not conclusive. Capcom’s TGS materials establish the characters, systems and Shelter loop it presented; TechRadar’s positive hands-on reaction applies specifically to its Gamescom session. Neither should be mistaken for an assessment of the complete game based on the TGS build.

PRAGMATA is no longer an upcoming game. Capcom said it released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on April 17, 2026, followed by Nintendo Switch 2 on April 24, 2026. In its April 20, 2026 release announcement, Capcom reported that worldwide sales had surpassed one million units. That is a company-reported sales milestone, not a measure of critical or player opinion. Capcom’s April 20, 2026 release announcement
