Fortnite’s Playboi Carti collaboration was announced on December 10, 2025, with an in-game release planned for December 11 alongside update v39.10. Epic Games France described Carti as Blitz’s first musical boss and announced outfits, emotes, and Jam Tracks. The Zero Hour reference was to a past event appearance—not confirmation of a new live event in 2026.
What Epic announced
In its December 10, 2025 announcement, Epic Games France said Carti would arrive in Fortnite the next day with update v39.10. It called him “le premier boss musical sur Blitz” (“the first musical boss on Blitz”). That describes an in-game Blitz role, separate from the cosmetic and music items announced for the shop.
The announcement also connected Carti to Fortnite’s Zero Hour live event. That is a reference to an earlier event, not evidence that a new live event was being teased. Epic Games France reported that Zero Hour attracted 10.5 million players; that is Epic’s reported figure, not an independently audited count. Epic Games France’s announcement.
Which Carti skins and items were named?
| Type | Announced items |
|---|---|
| Outfits | Playboi Carti and King Vamp Carti |
| Emotes | EVIL J0RDAN and Rather Lie |
| Jam Tracks | “Evil J0rdan” and “Sky” |
These are digital Fortnite items, not a physical merchandise release. Epic’s official outfit page identifies Playboi Carti as part of the Carti set, introduced in Chapter 7 Season 1, and lists Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival as supported experiences. Does this mean new Carti skins or a live event are coming now?
No new 2026 announcement is established by the available official information. The collaboration and named skins were announced in December 2025. Fortnite’s news index displays 2026 stories through October 1, but its recent entries do not include a Carti announcement. That index check is limited: it does not prove that no announcement exists elsewhere.
Similarly, the past Zero Hour connection should not be recast as a newly confirmed live event. Do not treat the older collaboration announcement as confirmation of a fresh event or newly announced skins.

How to check whether the items are available
Shop listings can change. Check Fortnite’s in-game shop for current availability rather than assuming the items remain on sale because they were announced. Epic’s shop page lists Carti cosmetics and music items, including outfits, back bling, emotes, a guitar, a microphone, and Jam Tracks; inspect the in-game shop for the current listing.
