In Persona 3 Reload’s base game, Death Castle is weak to Ice. Use Ice attacks to aim for knockdowns and All-Out Attacks, and protect the party from Dark instant-death magic. The encounter guide places this Monad Door boss in Tziah on floors 145F–154F and recommends level 50 or higher. “Dancer” is not part of the enemy name in the matching guides, so this page covers Death Castle and separates the base-game fight from other versions.
How to beat Death Castle in Persona 3 Reload
The following advice applies to the base-game Monad Door encounter in Tziah, not the separate Episode Aigis fight or the older Persona 3 FES: The Answer encounter. Game8’s base-game guide, last updated February 20, 2024, recommends level 50 or higher.

- Bring Ice attacks. Death Castle is weak to Ice. Use the strongest Ice skills available to your party; Game8 specifically recommends Mitsuru’s Bufudyne. A weakness hit can knock the boss down and create an opportunity for an All-Out Attack.
- Guard against Dark instant death. Avoid using a Persona vulnerable to Dark effects. Game8 recommends a Persona that resists or nullifies Dark and notes that Koromaru blocks Dark. This warning concerns the base-game fight; do not assume it describes every version of Death Castle.
- Keep a revival safeguard. Have a way to revive a fallen party member. Game8 suggests Recarm or Homunculus items as safeguards.
- Increase damage when you have room. The guide recommends Rakunda to lower the boss’s defense and using Theurgy for damage. Prioritize survival and Ice weakness hits if the party is under pressure.
Neoseeker’s separate Reload guide also recommends exploiting the Ice weakness and protecting against Dark attacks.

| Version and encounter | Reported affinities or attacks | Advice that applies to that version |
|---|---|---|
| Persona 3 Reload, base game; Monad Door in Tziah, 145F–154F | Weak to Ice; base-game guide warns of Dark instant-death magic. | Use Ice for knockdowns, prepare Dark protection, and keep a revival option available. Game8 recommends level 50+. |
| Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis; Monad Door in Ptolomea | Game8 reports Ice weakness, Slash resistance, Pierce nullification, and Dark repel. Its guide says this version uses Agi skills. | See the Episode Aigis guidance below; do not substitute the base-game Dark warning for its Agi advice. |
| Persona 3 FES: The Answer | Ninamo’s user-submitted GameFAQs walkthrough reports a Death Castle paired with two El Dorado Beasts; it says Death Castle has no weaknesses, drains Ice, and is vulnerable to Slash, Strike, and Pierce. | These older-version affinities are not Reload advice. In particular, do not use Ice on the basis of the Reload guide when following this FES encounter report. |
Episode Aigis: Ptolomea strategy
The Episode Aigis encounter is a separate fight. Game8’s guide, last updated September 18, 2024, reports that Death Castle is weak to Ice, resists Slash, nullifies Pierce, and repels Dark. It describes Agi skills and recommends Mitsuru or Metis for Ice attacks.
- Build Mitsuru’s Theurgy gauge before the battle, as the guide advises.
- Use Makarakarn on key party members to reflect fire attacks.
- The guide says choosing the right-hand door gives a three-in-four chance of this boss spawning. Treat that as the guide’s door-specific advice, not a universal rule for every Monad Door.
Those Agi and Makarakarn recommendations are specific to the Episode Aigis guide and should not be merged with the base-game guide’s warning about Dark instant-death magic.

Why “Dancer” may not match the enemy name
The matching Death Castle guides identify a Reload Monad Door boss, but do not identify a “Dancer” enemy or include “Dancer” in the boss name. If you meant a different enemy or game, check the version and encounter location before using this guide. The tactics here are for Death Castle only.
