In Liar’s Bar’s Liar’s Dice mode, players privately roll their dice, then take turns bidding on how many dice across the table show a chosen face. On your turn, raise the previous bid by quantity or face value, or challenge it; the challenge is resolved by revealing and counting the dice. The loser drinks poison, and drinking two bottles eliminates a player, so the last player alive wins.
How a round works
- Roll and hide: Players roll privately. Other players cannot see an individual roll.
- Make a bid: Claim a quantity and face value for the hidden dice across the table. For example, “five 3s” means at least five dice show 3.
- Raise or challenge: The next player either raises the bid by increasing its quantity or face value, or challenges the previous bid.
- Reveal and resolve: On a challenge, the cups are revealed and the dice counted. The loser drinks poison; drinking two bottles eliminates a player.
- Continue until one survives: The game’s stated win condition is to be the last one alive.
What counts as a legal bid?
A bid concerns the total matching dice in play, not just the dice under your own cup. Each new bid must go up by quantity or face value; you cannot repeat or lower the previous claim. You can challenge instead of making a higher bid.
The available rules summary for Liar’s Bar says ones are not wild. Do not assume the wild-ones rule from a tabletop version applies to the digital game.

Tips for new players
- Use your roll as evidence: Your dice are the only roll you can see. Compare them with the current bid before deciding whether to raise or challenge.
- Check the exact claim: A bid is about at least the stated number of a face across the table. The reveal determines whether that quantity was met.
- Remember the penalty: A challenge can cost a bottle of poison, and two bottles eliminate a player. Don’t confuse this with tabletop rules where a die may be removed.
- Keep the version straight: Ones are not wild in the Liar’s Bar rules summary; tabletop variants may differ.
