The PEAK Wiki says the hot spring or oasis associated with capybaras is randomized with each map seed. A marker from another seed or rotation may therefore send you to the wrong place; there is no verified September 5 coordinate or route to give as fact.
How to check the capybara on your current PEAK map
- Confirm your in-game biome and rotation. Check the game before making a detour. PeakMapToday labels its map data unofficial and advises confirming the biome and rotation in-game.
- Open a current community daily map. PeakMapToday offers a biome selector and an Animals layer. Select the biome matching your game, then enable Animals to look for the capybara marker.
- Match the marker to nearby terrain. Use visible terrain and landmarks to narrow your search around the marker rather than treating it as a September 5 coordinate.
- Recheck the timing if you are near a rotation change. Peak-Game.com describes a global rotation at 17:00 UTC across 21 mountains. This is information from an unofficial fan project; confirm the timing in-game if it affects your session.
If your current map matches the community page’s displayed rotation, its Animals layer can help you plan a bounded search. It does not verify an older September 5 map state.

The PEAK Wiki notes that bugles can be used near capybaras for the Animal Serenading Badge. That provides a reason to find one, but it does not make its location fixed: use a map that matches your current seed and rotation.
