Yes. Assign Vixy to a Ranch: its Partner Skill produces Pal Spheres and has historically been upgraded to yield higher-tier spheres, including Mega Spheres. However, Palworld 1.0 changed Work Suitability and ranching, and the available official notes do not confirm the current Vixy level or drop rate for Mega Spheres. Treat it as passive bonus supply, not a guaranteed way to meet an immediate need.
How to use Vixy for sphere farming
- Place a Ranch at your base.
- Assign Vixy to the Ranch. Its Partner Skill is the source of the items it produces there.
- Collect the Ranch output periodically. Vixy can produce Pal Spheres and, with an upgraded Partner Skill, has historically been associated with higher sphere tiers.
The Ranch route is passive and variable: there is no confirmed current schedule, minimum yield, or Mega Sphere drop rate.
What Vixy upgrades do—and what is not confirmed
Older reference material says Pal Condensation improves Vixy’s Partner Skill and expands its sphere output. One older Mega Sphere reference associates the drop with a 4-Star Vixy, but that is not a verified guarantee for version 1.0. Do not rely on a particular star rank as a confirmed current threshold.
Version matters because Palworld 1.0 reworked Work Suitability. Pocketpair’s official 1.0 release changelog says Work Suitability now has 10 levels and that suitability values were rebalanced. Pal rank-ups raise one suitability level, maximum rank raises all suitability levels, an Applied Ranching Handbook I was added to raise ranching suitability, and ranching materials were adjusted. The changelog does not specify Vixy’s Mega Sphere threshold or individual drop chances.

Is Vixy the right route if you need Mega Spheres now?
Vixy’s advantage is that it can add sphere supply while assigned to a Ranch. Its drawback is uncertainty: current Mega Sphere frequency and the upgrade needed to unlock it are not established by the official 1.0 notes. If you need spheres immediately, the Mega Sphere reference also lists merchant purchases, enemy drops, world pickups, and crafting as acquisition routes. Which is practical depends on your progress and circumstances; no reliable current comparison of their cost or yield is available here.

Historical Vixy references report that an earlier update added Giga and Hyper Spheres to its Ranch drops, and describe Pal Condensation as a way to reach rarer sphere varieties. That supports the general idea that upgrading Vixy can broaden its output, but it does not establish current 1.0 Mega Sphere odds. Use the old 4-Star claim as version-dependent context, not a promised result.

Mega Spheres are the second Pal Sphere tier; the reference lists their capture power as 14. That figure describes the sphere, not Vixy’s production rate.
