CES 2026 Did Not Bring Nvidia RTX 50 Super GPUs: What We Know Now

No: Nvidia did not announce RTX 50 Super GPUs at CES 2026. Ahead of its keynote, the company said it would announce no new GPUs, and its official CES announcement index lists GeForce news such as DLSS 4.5 but no Super-series launch. That settles what happened at CES; it does not confirm or rule out a future release.

Did Nvidia announce RTX 50 Super GPUs at CES 2026?

No. Nvidia said before its CES 2026 keynote that it would not announce new GPUs, according to Tom’s Hardware’s January 5 report, which quoted the company’s GeForce On community update. Nvidia’s official CES 2026 announcement index lists other announcements, including DLSS 4.5, but no RTX 50 Super product.

The event outcome is clear, but the evidence does not establish Nvidia’s plans after CES. The sources available here contain no official Super model lineup, specifications, release date, or price. Rumors about a refresh should therefore not be treated as a product announcement.

Why were RTX 50 Super GPUs expected at CES?

The expectation followed the timing of Nvidia’s previous generation launch: the company introduced its base RTX 50 Series desktop and laptop GPUs at CES 2025. Nvidia described the generation as built on Blackwell; CEO Jensen Huang said, “Blackwell, the engine of AI, has arrived for PC gamers, developers and creatives,” in the January 6, 2025 announcement.

  • A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis

That earlier launch is not evidence that a Super refresh would arrive at the next CES. Before CES 2026, Tom’s Hardware reported that Super-series speculation had not been officially confirmed and quoted Nvidia’s statement that no new GPUs would be announced. The event record provides no basis for assigning rumored models or specifications to a future product.

  • GeForce RTX 5050

This official list gives buyers real models to compare; it does not indicate that an RTX 50 Super card is available. Nvidia’s January 2025 launch announcement gave the following initial prices and availability dates for four cards. These are historical launch prices, not current retail quotes.

Model Nvidia-announced starting price Announced availability
RTX 5090 $1,999 January 30, 2025
RTX 5080 $999 January 30, 2025
RTX 5070 Ti $749 February 2025
RTX 5070 $549 February 2025

Prices and dates in the table are from Nvidia’s January 6, 2025 RTX 50 Series launch announcement. That announcement also said the RTX 5090 had 92 billion transistors and 3,352 trillion AI operations per second (TOPS); those are Nvidia’s stated figures for that model, not independent test results and not specifications for a Super card.

Should you wait for an RTX 50 Super or buy an RTX 50 card now?

There is no confirmed RTX 50 Super release to plan around, so the practical choice is between a currently listed card that meets your needs and waiting without a confirmed date or specification to compare. No single choice fits every buyer: decide based on the games and applications you use, your target resolution and settings, and the full cost of the card and any supporting hardware.

  • Compare an existing card now if you need a GPU and can verify a suitable model’s current price and availability. Check performance for your target resolution and settings, memory capacity, and the card’s power and cooling requirements. Nvidia’s performance examples on its product page are Nvidia comparisons, not independent testing.
  • Wait for official information if you are comfortable delaying a purchase and want to see whether Nvidia announces another model. Until then, a Super card’s price, specifications, and release timing are unknown in the sources cited here.

Nvidia named ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC as add-in-card providers for RTX 50 Series models in its launch release. Check the exact card model and live listing when comparing offers: a retailer’s RTX 50 Series listing is not evidence of an RTX 50 Super release.
