Raging Brachydios is a larger variant of Brachydios in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Its body slime activates and explodes over time, making the slime’s changing state a defining feature of the encounter. The hunt can reward materials used for Lightbreak weapons and Brachydium armor.
Where do you fight Raging Brachydios?
Raging Brachydios is an Iceborne encounter, added in Free Title Update 13.00. Capcom announced the update on March 22, 2020, when it was live on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; the PC release was scheduled for April 9, 2020. These dates describe the original rollout, not current online-service or store availability. Capcom’s Free Title Update 13.00 announcement identifies Raging Brachydios as part of the update.
To access the encounter, you need Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. The available sources establish its expansion and update context but do not specify all current platform, progression, or store requirements.
What makes Raging Brachydios different from Brachydios?
Capcom’s Iceborne overview describes Brachydios as an explosive fighter whose slime attacks have new properties. For the Raging variant specifically, the Monster Hunter World database describes it as much larger than a regular Brachydios and says its body slime activates and explodes over time.
