How to unlock Rey Dau Gamma armor
Hunt Arch-tempered Rey Dau in the Event Quest A Silent Flash. The current event listing identifies the target as Arch-tempered Rey Dau, the location as Windward Plains, and the access requirement as HR 50 or higher; it also lists Rey Dau γ armor as a reward. See the event quest listing, then confirm the quest appears in your own in-game event menu. The listing does not establish an end date or guarantee availability on every platform or in every region.
Sony’s March 2025 announcement said that hunting Arch-tempered Rey Dau would make the Rey Dau γ and Felyne Rey Dau γ sets forgeable. Its announced April 30 event date is historical, not a current schedule. The guide identifies a Rey Dau Certificate γ as a forging material obtained after completing Silent Flash. Icy Veins lists 68 base defense per piece, or 340 across the five-piece set. Each piece is listed at 0 fire, −2 water, −3 thunder, +4 ice, and 0 dragon resistance. That adds up to 0 fire, −10 water, −15 thunder, +20 ice, and 0 dragon for the full set. Ascendance lists maximum defense of 88 per piece after upgrades. These are published reference values; use the current in-game equipment screen to confirm values after updates.

Judge the set by whether its listed skills and bonuses support your weapon and playstyle, and whether its elemental resistances suit the hunt. Its mix includes stamina-related skills, Maximum Might, Latent Power, Evade Extender, and Stun Resistance; it also has positive ice resistance but negative water and thunder resistance. That makes the set a build option to evaluate rather than a universal recommendation. The cited references do not establish that the full set is currently best-in-slot or universally optimal.
