To get a face for your Roblox avatar, search the Roblox Marketplace, check the item’s type and details, then buy it and find it in your Inventory under faces. A regular face item customizes your avatar’s appearance; it does not necessarily support expression-driven animation.
How do you get faces on Roblox?
-
Open the Roblox Marketplace and search by a keyword or item title. Browse categories or use available filters, such as creator, price, sales type, sorting, and unavailable-item status, to narrow the results.
-
Open an item’s details page. Check its item type and description, and use Try On on the page—or tap the item in the app—to preview it on your avatar.
-
Review the purchase confirmation before completing the transaction. Roblox says purchases are final, so make sure the item is the one you intend to buy.

Check the item type rather than relying only on its thumbnail or name: Roblox notes that packages or decals made by other players can look like official Roblox items but are different kinds of items. Its guide to item details pages explains where to check the type and other purchase information. Prices and availability vary by live listing.
Where are your Roblox faces after purchase?
Look in your Roblox Inventory and open the faces category. If the purchase does not appear where you expect, first confirm that you are viewing the correct account and that the item is a face rather than another item type. Roblox’s purchase help page describes where to find items after buying them with Robux.

How do you change your Roblox face?
Choose a face from the faces category in your Inventory and equip it for your avatar. The available choices depend on the items in your account and what Roblox currently supports in its avatar interface. For Marketplace browsing and purchasing in the mobile app, see Roblox’s mobile Marketplace guide.
Do Roblox faces move with your expressions?
Not all faces or heads animate. Movement-based facial animation requires both a compatible head and a camera-enabled experience. Roblox says compatible head thumbnails show a winking-face icon; check for it before choosing a head if animation is what you want.

Camera use is optional. When you join an experience that supports it, your device or operating system asks for camera access, and you can turn the feature off. Roblox says camera video stays on your device and is not recorded or stored by Roblox. Device support can also matter: Roblox’s Animate Your Avatar help page says the feature is unavailable on Android devices with 3 GB of RAM or less. Support can change, so check the current device and experience requirements if the option is missing.

Creating an avatar item is a separate process from choosing a face in the Marketplace. Roblox describes a workflow that often starts with a mesh made in a 3D art program such as Blender, then uses Roblox Studio to prepare the avatar item. Creators must meet Roblox’s account and Marketplace requirements, follow its policies and Community Standards, and only sell work they made or have permission to sell. See Roblox’s guide to creating and selling avatar items for the applicable requirements.
