Run Forrest Run is a mobile endless runner inspired by Forrest Gump. It asks players to run, jump, slide, dodge obstacles and use power-ups. The app’s name depends on the store: Apple’s Spanish App Store listing calls it Run Forrest Run – El Juego, while Google Play currently lists it as Runner odyssey:running journey and refers to Run Forrest Run in its update note.
What is Run Forrest Run?
It is a mobile endless-running game built around the film’s image of Forrest running across the country. Store descriptions present the basic loop as avoiding obstacles while running, jumping and sliding, with power-ups and progression or customization features. Google Play categorizes it as an action, platformer, runner and arcade game, and labels it single-player and offline. Those are the storefront’s descriptions, not a guarantee of how the game performs on a particular device.

The available listings establish a mobile app, not a console or PC release. The stores do not establish that the iOS and Android versions have identical content, availability or features.
Why does the game have two different names?
The storefront labels differ. Apple’s listing is Run Forrest Run – El Juego; Google Play’s current title is Runner odyssey:running journey. Google Play’s description still makes the connection explicit: its update note mentions Forrest Gump and ends by inviting players to enjoy “Run Forrest Run!”

The history also varies by source. DeVuego records iOS and Android releases in 2014 under Genera Games. Current store records associate the app with VIVA GAMES S.L. / Viva Games Studios. Apple’s Spanish regional listing identifies VIVA GAMES S.L. as developer and records version 3.0.6 dated December 20, 2023. These are listing and database details, not proof of current availability in every country or on every device.
How to find and install it
Search the store available in your region and check the listing itself before installing. The displayed title, compatibility and availability can differ by storefront and country.
- On Apple devices: open the App Store and look for Run Forrest Run – El Juego. The linked listing is for Spain; confirm that it is available in your own storefront and supports your device.
- On Android: open Google Play and search for Runner odyssey:running journey. Its listing describes the app as an offline, single-player runner and still refers to Run Forrest Run in the update note.
- Before downloading: check the app’s current developer, latest update date, device compatibility, ads and in-app purchase disclosures on the store page you will use.
The listings describe free access, with ads or in-app purchases disclosed. Those details and availability can change; review the current store terms before installing or buying anything.
What do you do in the game?
The described play is familiar to endless-runner fans: keep moving, avoid hazards and use movement actions and power-ups to continue. Google Play also describes dynamic environments, leaderboards and character customization. These feature descriptions come from the listing; they do not establish that every feature appears in the Apple version or every regional build.

Is Forrest Gump required viewing?
No. The film is optional context, not a game requirement. Paramount identifies Forrest Gump as a 1994 film and lists it in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD formats. Amazon Prime Video’s title page also lists DVD and Blu-ray formats.
