Choose Sciel’s build for your role and progression

The late-game Charnon recommendation comes from a guide updated September 1, 2026, which says it was checked against patch v1.5.6 notes on August 31, 2026. That guide also points to Scielson as a lower-risk option before Charnon and late-game Luminas are available. Treat weapon choice as progression-dependent: an endgame loadout is not automatically practical earlier in the game. See the guide’s build recommendations.

How Sciel’s Foretell and Twilight loop works
Sciel alternates between Sun and Moon skills to manage Foretell and charges. Sun skills apply Foretell and generate Sun charges; Moon skills consume Foretell and generate Moon charges. Having both charge types enables Twilight, which increases damage. The guides describe a normal Foretell cap of 10 and a Twilight cap of 20.
- Apply Foretell: Focused Foretell is a straightforward way to build the resource.
- Build both charge types: Use Sun and Moon skills as the fight allows so Sciel can enter Twilight.
- Spend or extend the window: Sealed Fate can consume Foretell across multiple hits for increased damage. Twilight Dance deals four hits and, when used during Twilight, extends the state by one turn.
Dark Wave offers multi-target damage and consumes Foretell, making it useful when several enemies need to be hit. Late-game damage build: Charnon
Skills
Use Focused Foretell, Sealed Fate, Dark Wave, and Twilight Dance. Focused Foretell helps establish the resource pool, while Sealed Fate and Dark Wave turn Foretell into damage. Twilight Dance contributes four hits and can prolong Twilight if used while Sciel is in that state.
Attributes
Start with Defense and Luck, then add Might and Agility. This ordering reflects the cited late-game guide rather than a universal stat formula: adjust for the weapon you have, whether Sciel survives the encounter, and how readily she can access AP.

Picto and Lumina priorities
The late-game guide lists the following as priorities, not mandatory equipment. Availability, Lumina Point capacity, and the encounter can all change what fits best.

Support build: give an ally the opening
For a party-first Sciel, focus on acting early and using skills that directly improve an ally’s tempo or damage.

- Attributes: The support guide prioritizes Agility so Sciel can act before enemies, then Luck for its relationship to critical-hit bonuses.
This approach is most valuable when the ally’s extra action or brief damage boost can change the turn’s outcome. It is a different role from building Sciel primarily to deal damage herself. The support guide identifies update 1.5.0 as its compatibility baseline, so its specific recommendations are older than the v1.5.6-checked late-game build guide. Read the support Sciel guide.
Understand the difference between Pictos and Luminas
Pictos provide their stats and passive while equipped. The equipment guide reviewed here says each character has three Picto slots. After a Picto has been equipped on a participating character for four victories, its passive becomes a learned Lumina. A learned Lumina grants the passive without the Picto’s stats and uses Lumina Point capacity, so learning an effect does not mean Sciel receives the Picto’s stat bonuses as well. Patch context
The latest patch specifically verified by the cited build guide is v1.5.6. The official Steam announcement dated June 30, 2026, says the patch is live and lists fixes involving Burn behavior after stun and Martenon’s Lumina effects when Sciel does not get consecutive turns. This establishes the patch context for those recommendations; it does not establish that no later patch exists. Read the official v1.5.6 announcement.
