Check the mission map, weigh each task against its travel and combat risk, and prioritize the ones that help your squad’s current route or mission. They are not a mandatory checklist.
How to find and prioritize secondary objectives
Start by checking the map for marked objectives. If finding more tactical sites is useful to your squad, look for a Radar Station: community-maintained references describe it as revealing map information and other objective locations. It is a discovery tool, not a guarantee that every hidden item will appear.

Then consider what the objective offers, how far out of the way it is, and whether your squad can handle the likely exposure. Completing a useful site along your route may be worthwhile; crossing a dangerous area for a low-priority detour may not be. That is a tactical judgment, not a universal completion-time rule: available sources do not establish a reliable ranking of objectives by time or value.
- Identify the objective on the map or while exploring the mission area.
- Use a Radar Station if revealing more map information and tactical sites would help.
- Choose high-utility objectives that fit your route and squad’s immediate needs.
- Leave a detour if the combat situation or mission clock makes its likely benefit a poor trade.
What the familiar tactical objectives do
Radar Station
Activating a Radar Station can reveal map information and the locations of other tactical objectives, according to community-maintained objective references. Treat it as a way to improve your picture of the mission area, not as a promise that every point of interest will be revealed.

SEAF Artillery
At a SEAF Artillery site, interact with the installation and load shells to make its shared stratagem available. Arrowhead’s patch 01.000.400 notes say the artillery stratagem is no longer blocked by Stratagem Jammers or Ion Storms. They also say it remains available after the mission timer ends and the destroyer leaves close orbit.
SEAF SAM Site
A SEAF SAM Site provides anti-air support. Arrowhead’s June 2026 patch notes say its missiles received improved software for detecting and detonating near enemy air units. The update does not provide a hit rate or promise that a missile will destroy every aircraft.

Terminate Illegal Broadcast
The legacy objective guide describes two ways to stop an Illegal Broadcast: destroy the transmitter tower with explosives or interact with the terminal at its base. Arrowhead’s June 2026 patch notes say a hidden broadcast terminal was moved to its correct location and that the W.A.S.P. launcher can target broadcast towers. If you cannot find the terminal, check the immediate site rather than assuming the objective is unavailable.

Void planets add objectives beyond the familiar tactical installations. Arrowhead’s August 2026 Devoid of Liberty announcement names tasks that involve eradicating Void mutations, extracting research materials, and opening a secondary extraction zone. The announcement says the additional extraction zone may let the squad evacuate faster; it does not establish a guaranteed time saving.

These tasks are specific to the Void-planet context described in that update, so do not expect the same objective mix on every mission. Decide whether research or an alternate extraction option is useful for your squad before diverting from the primary objective.
Current issue to know about
Arrowhead’s known-issues page, updated October 8, 2026, lists a narrow case in which a Helldiver may die after landing on an Automaton fabricator when player latency is high. The page says it covers common confirmed issues and is not exhaustive; this report is not evidence that all fabricators or objective interactions are broken.
