Enter Siofra River through the Siofra River Well in Limgrave, northwest of Fort Haight. Explore the underground river for its map fragment, the Horn Bow, Ghost Glovewort, and an optional Ancestor Spirit encounter. The deeper route to Nokron is gated: defeat Starscourge Radahn to open the way.
How to reach Siofra River
Look for the Siofra River Well in Limgrave, northwest of Fort Haight. Take its elevator down to enter the underground region. There is a second elevator, Deep Siofra River Well, in Dragonbarrow, Caelid; that entrance leads to a significantly more dangerous area, so the Limgrave well is the natural starting point for exploring Siofra.
How to navigate the underground region
When you reach the surface below, use Guidance of Grace as a general pointer toward important directions, and collect map fragments to reveal the underground map. The Siofra River fragment is reported to be on a corpse by a guide stele near the Hallowhorn Grounds staircase; it reveals Siofra River and Nokron on the underground map. Check the stele area in-game, as the precise directions are less firmly established than the route into the region.
Player-placed map markers and beacons can also help you keep track of braziers, landmarks, and routes you want to revisit. You do not have to fight every enemy or boss as soon as you find them: leave a difficult encounter and return later, or continue exploring.

Useful finds in Siofra River
Horn Bow
Search beneath the stairs at Hallowhorn Grounds for a corpse carrying the Horn Bow. Its Mighty Shot skill and added magic damage make it a notable pickup for bow users.
Ghost Glovewort
Ghost Glovewort grows around the region and is used to upgrade Spirit Ashes. There is no complete pickup list or total quantity established here, so keep an eye out while exploring rather than relying on a fixed count.
How to activate and defeat the Ancestor Spirit
The Siofra River Ancestor Spirit is found at Hallowhorn Grounds. To make it available, light all eight braziers scattered around the area and to the northeast of the river. Once they are lit, return to Hallowhorn Grounds to face the spirit. Defeating it grants the Ancestor Spirit Ashes.
GameSpot’s guide recommends Fire and Holy damage for this encounter. Treat that as a strategy suggestion rather than a guarantee; choose attacks that suit your character and equipment.

Nokron is visible from Siofra, but seeing its skyline does not mean you can reach it from the underground river. First defeat Starscourge Radahn. His defeat causes a meteor to fall and opens a route in East Limgrave into Nokron, the western half of the broader Siofra region. Nokron also contains portions of Ranni’s and Fia’s questlines.
Regal Ancestor Spirit
In Nokron, the Regal Ancestor Spirit is at Hallowhorn Grounds. Light six braziers to activate it. Its reward is a Remembrance, which you can exchange with Enia for either Winged Greathorn or Ancestral Spirit’s Horn.
Mimic Tear
The optional Mimic Tear boss in Nokron rewards Mimic Tear Spirit Ashes. The summon copies your current equipment and skills. GameSpot describes it as one of the strongest summons, an editorial assessment rather than a measured ranking.
