Fortnite did host more Star Wars activities in May 2026, but those were separate content—not a confirmed rerun of Chapter 6 Season 3.
What “Star Wars returning” could mean
The claim can refer to different things: bringing back the entire 2025 Battle Royale season, rotating Star Wars cosmetics into the Item Shop, or adding new Star Wars experiences to Fortnite. The official announcements establish the original season and later franchise activity, but do not confirm that GALACTIC BATTLE is being rerun.

When was Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE?
Epic announced GALACTIC BATTLE on April 29, 2025, as Fortnite’s first entirely Star Wars-themed Battle Royale season. Epic called it the biggest Star Wars collaboration in Fortnite to that point. It began May 2, 2025, as Chapter 6 Season 3; it is a past season, not an upcoming one. Epic Games

What the season included
GALACTIC BATTLE changed Battle Royale gameplay and locations, rather than being only a cosmetic crossover. How the 2026 Star Wars activity differs
StarWars.com’s May 2026 report described new Fortnite experiences: three islands, additions for LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, a Watch Party island connected with The Mandalorian and Grogu, and rotating Star Wars shop items. That is evidence of later Star Wars programming in Fortnite, but it does not say Chapter 6 Season 3 or GALACTIC BATTLE is coming back. StarWars.com
A shop rotation can bring back particular cosmetics without restoring a full Battle Royale season. The 2026 report documents rotating items, not a promise that any specific item will be available at a particular time.

The separate 2025 Watch Party
The 2025 rollout also included a Watch Party island for the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld ahead of the series’ Disney+ premiere on May 4, 2025.
