Sword of Night stats and skill
The Elden Ring Wiki.gg community-wiki item table lists the following values. They are reported in-game data, not results from an independent performance test; the source does not establish a patch version.
| Attribute | Listed value |
|---|---|
| Weapon class | Katana |
| Physical attack power | 110 |
| Magic attack power | 33 |
| Blood-loss buildup | 45 |
| Weight | 6.5 |
| Strength requirement | 11 |
| Dexterity requirement | 20 |
| Listed skill | Witching Hour Slash |
The community wiki also reports that the weapon’s attacks bypass half of guarded damage negation. That is a listed game-data detail, not a claim of tested superiority over other weapons. The same source reproduces the weapon description: “Sword of an all-consuming, bottomless black that devours even the light that shines upon it. Wielded by Jolán, Swordhand of Night. The blade of the sword is only semicorporeal, and thus cannot be guarded against completely.” Source: Elden Ring Wiki.gg.

Witching Hour Slash
The skill description, as reproduced by the community wiki, reads: “Hold the sword level and infuse it with the dark of Night before unleashing a series of incorporeal attacks. This attack cannot be blocked. Can be charged to increase its power.” The description says the skill’s attack cannot be blocked and can be charged to increase its power; it does not by itself establish how the weapon performs in every build or encounter. The reported route is part of Jolán’s quest in Scadu Altus. It involves finishing Count Ymir’s quest and its associated fights, then giving Jolán the Iris of Occultation at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. Jolán then drops the Sword of Night. This route is documented by a community wiki rather than an official walkthrough. Source: Elden Ring Wiki.gg.
- Progress through Count Ymir’s quest at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in Scadu Altus, including the associated fights.
- After completing those steps, speak with Jolán and give her the Iris of Occultation.
- Collect the Sword of Night from Jolán after she drops it.
The Iris of Occultation is the item required for this reward route; do not substitute the Iris of Grace if your goal is the Sword of Night.
