Offworld Industries’ 2024–2025 roadmap for Starship Troopers: Extermination moved from post-launch fixes and optimization to new weapons, weather, missions, maps, and modes. These were evolving plans, not fixed release guarantees: the studio’s FAQ said it aimed to refresh its roadmap quarterly, and its August 2025 post warned that development and testing could change plans. The latest located official development item is dated April 2, 2026; it does not establish a current October 2026 roadmap.
How to read the roadmap
The roadmap was a changing outline of intended work, not a binding schedule. Offworld Industries’ support FAQ, updated October 10, 2024, described Update 1.0 as the beginning of continued support and said the studio aimed to refresh its roadmap quarterly so it would remain as accurate as possible. The FAQ also said the team would keep players informed through development blogs and streams. Read the official support FAQ.

What the roadmap covered, by date
October 2024: support after Update 1.0
In October 2024, Offworld said the post-1.0 period would bring quality-of-life updates and performance fixes during the fall, followed by a slate of larger updates in the first half of 2025. Those were plans announced at the time, not confirmation that every milestone arrived on schedule. See the October 2024 roadmap announcement.

January 2025: optimization and progression
In a January 14, 2025 development update, project lead Peter Maurice described the coming three months as a period focused on optimizing the game on PC and console, quality-of-life work, and fixes for bugs and player-reported pain points. The post announced the Disputed Sands Galactic Front alongside Update 1.2 and introduced Galactic Perks, a new advancement and customization rewards system. Read the January 2025 development update.
March 2025: staged reloads, weather, and cameras
The March 2025 update previewed dynamic skies and weather, plus staged reloads for Update 1.3. With staged reloads, an interruption could leave a weapon partway through its reload, allowing the player to resume from that stage; ejecting a magazine during the process would empty the weapon. The post gave a rough late-March or early-April window for Update 1.3 but said there was no exact release date.
For Update 1.4, the same post previewed an underbarrel attachment for the Morita MK1 and “Broadcast Heroism”: players could retrieve cameras during missions, film teammates, and earn a morale XP booster. These details describe the publisher’s preview, rather than independently verified release timing. See the March 2025 development update.

July 2025: a recap and plans for Update 1.6

The publisher listed company invites and chat, Galactic War perks, staged reloads, dynamic weather, FedNet cameras, new weapons and weapon modifications, quality-of-life improvements, and 16-player Hive Hunt missions among the additions. This is a dated publisher recap, not an independent outcome measure.

March 2026: the publisher’s retrospective on 2025

These are the publisher’s retrospective statements, not independent performance testing. Read the December 2025 development update.

On April 2, 2026, an official announcement covered Operation Stalwart Sanitation, a limited-time mode scheduled for April 1–15, 2026, involving the fictional XU-9 Spitshine tool. That event window has passed. The announcement also used satirical in-universe language about Bomber Bites cereal and a collectible M11 Marauder toy; it said the cereal was pending release approval, so neither should be treated as a verified retail product. Which platforms the roadmap concerns
The official FAQ lists PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-play among those systems. It says progression does not transfer between PC and console and confirms controller support. The FAQ directs readers to Steam for hardware specifications and cautions that those specifications may change, so its older requirements should not be treated as current system guidance.
