Stumble Guys introduced Ranked mode in version 0.75, with the rollout scheduled for July 11, 2024. The original Season Zero system rewarded match placement with Rank Points (RP), letting players climb seven ranks and earn in-game rewards. The update also turned Special Emotes into equipable Abilities.
How Stumble Guys Ranked mode works
In the original Season Zero system, your placement in a Ranked match determined how many Rank Points you gained or lost. Better placements earned more RP; weaker results could cost RP, particularly at higher ranks. Promotion thresholds varied by rank. Stumble Guys’ Season Zero guide, published July 14, 2024, describes the initial rules.
The seven ranks
Players progressed through seven ranks, each divided into three tiers:
- Wood
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Master
- Champion
At season end, the Season Zero guide said ranks reset to Wood I. Returning players could receive a temporary Season Boost based on their previous-season performance, helping them regain their former rank.

Match size is not clearly established
The Help Center article “How does Ranked mode work?”, accessed October 8, 2026, gives conflicting descriptions: one passage says Ranked matches are against 12 other players, while another retained passage says Season Zero matches had 16 players. The earlier Season Zero guide also says 16. Those statements do not establish the live match count, so check the game for the current format.
What Ranked prizes did players earn?
The original guide lists Stars, XP, and Ability Tokens among the rewards players could receive at rank tiers. It notes that reward types and amounts could change from season to season, so a past prize should not be treated as the current one.

For a dated example, Scopely’s Ranked Season 8 announcement, published March 7, 2025, said reaching Champion awarded 100 Gems in that season. That was a Season 8-specific reward, not a standing guarantee for every season.
The Season Zero guide also described a global leaderboard displaying up to 1,000 top players and showing a player’s global position.

What version 0.75 changed besides Ranked
Version 0.75 also introduced Abilities by converting traditional Special Emotes into equipable match abilities. Abilities were equipped separately from normal Emotes and Taunts. The Season Zero guide distinguishes the related currencies: Ability Keys unlocked abilities, while Ability Tokens upgraded them. These are separate in-game progression systems from the Ranked reward list.
In its July 10, 2024 version 0.75 patch notes, Stumble Guys said Ranked and Abilities were scheduled to unlock throughout Thursday, July 11. Scopely’s launch announcement is dated July 11, 2024; this is the original launch, not a new 2026 release.

How to interpret season-specific rules and rewards
Ranked is an evolving mode. When checking a particular season, use that season’s announcement or the live game for its rank thresholds, maps, allowed abilities, and Champion reward. Do not carry a reward amount or map rotation from one season into another unless the season’s own information confirms it.
