There are 40 listed Power Moons in Cascade Kingdom: 25 in the main list and 15 more revealed after you break the Moon Rock. Use this checklist to find each one, with story-dependent and challenge-room Moons called out where they matter. Nintendo describes Power Moons as fuel for the Odyssey, and notes that some are hidden in hard-to-reach places: Nintendo’s official Super Mario Odyssey page.

The numbered names below follow Nintendo Life’s Cascade Kingdom guide. Its maps are useful for pinpointing marked spots; the directions here explain the key action at each location.

First visit, fossils and the waterfall

  1. Our First Power Moon — Follow the required route during your first visit to Cascade Kingdom.
  2. Multi Moon Atop the Falls — Defeat the area boss.
  3. Chomp Through the Rocks — In the area with four Chain Chomps, capture the smaller Chomp on the far left and use it to break the small wall behind it.

  5. On Top of the Rubble — Collect the visible Moon above the rubble at its marked map location.
  6. Treasure of the Waterfall Basin — From the bridge, enter the water without going over the falls. Swim west to the alcove chest and hit it with Cappy.

Other kingdoms, visitors and local objectives

  3. Rolling Rock by the Falls — Beyond the small bridge, repeatedly kick the right-hand one of the two partly buried rocks.

  5. Cascade Kingdom Regular Cup — Win the Koopa race near the Odyssey.
  6. Caveman Cave-Fan — Wear both the Caveman Headwear and Caveman Outfit from Crazy Cap, then speak to the person looking for a caveman.
  7. Shopping in Fossil Falls — Buy the Moon from the Gold Coin side of Crazy Cap for 100 Gold Coins.
  8. Sphynx Traveling to the Waterfall — Capture the binoculars behind the Odyssey, find the flying Sphynx and keep it in view until the Moon appears.
