That figure describes the planned reduction—not a verified final count of people who ultimately left.
How many Take-Two employees were affected in Seattle?
GeekWire reported on May 1, 2024, citing a Washington Employment Security Department WARN notification, that 70 employees in the Seattle region were affected by a planned closure. A secondary notice tracker, WARNScan’s record, also lists 70 workers.
The 70 is the reported planned number in the notice, not confirmation that exactly 70 people ultimately separated from the company. The original state notice is not available in the sources cited here, and the reported figure does not establish each worker’s circumstances.
When was the Seattle closure scheduled to take effect?
WARNScan lists April 29, 2024, as the notice date and June 28, 2024, as the effective date. GeekWire likewise reported that the closure was set to begin June 28. The dates are historical; this was a 2024 event, not a new 2026 layoff announcement.

Was Intercept Games affected?
GeekWire connected the Seattle-area event to Intercept Games, which it described at the time as a Seattle-based Take-Two studio developing Kerbal Space Program 2. That is context from the 2024 report, not confirmation of the studio’s current operating status or of the specific outcome for any employee.
Take-Two’s investor-relations profile describes the company as a developer, publisher, and marketer of interactive entertainment, and identifies Rockstar Games, 2K, and Zynga as its principal labels.

What does a WARN notice establish?
Washington’s Employment Security Department says: “The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act requires companies planning a mass layoff to notify workers 60 days in advance.” Its guidance covers certain closures, mass layoffs, and reductions in hours, with thresholds that vary by event. It says a closure must affect at least 50 full-time employees at one worksite; a mass layoff is 50 or more full-time workers laid off at one site during a 30-day period. Written notice is due 60 days before a covered event. See the agency’s WARN guidance.
A notice records a planned event. By itself, it does not verify the eventual number of separations, each worker’s outcome, or whether every legal criterion applied to this particular event was met.
