These nine picks cover those goals, plus a runtime some mods need. They are a curated shortlist, not a tested or objective ranking; check each mod page for current game-version support, platform instructions, and dependencies before installing.
How to choose a Grounded mod
Start with the change you want, then confirm that the mod’s page supports your copy of Grounded and explains any required framework. Nexus Mods’ catalog and top listings are useful for discovery, but listing order is not a quality test, and catalog contents change. Update dates can help you screen candidates, but do not by themselves guarantee compatibility.
- Convenience: automate resource pickup, increase carrying capacity, or make processing faster.
- Progression: change how much Raw Science you collect or how much water your canteen can hold.
- Exploration: use movement changes for sandbox-style play rather than ordinary survival.
- Platform and dependencies: check whether the page covers Steam or Game Pass PC and whether the mod needs UE4SS or another tool.
- Co-op: the sources do not establish multiplayer behavior for these picks. Read the mod’s documentation before using it in a shared world.
Nine Grounded PC mods to consider
1. AutoPickUp — fewer trips to collect resources
AutoPickUp routes drops from resource nodes directly to your inventory, reducing the need to gather them manually. It suits players who want to spend less time collecting after breaking nodes. Check its page for the current version, platform coverage, and any prerequisites before installing. See AutoPickUp in the Grounded mod catalog.
2. Item Stack Size 999 — larger stacks
This catalog-listed mod offers a much higher stack-size option, with the title specifying a cap of 999 and describing it as crash-safe. Larger stacks can reduce inventory pressure, but do not assume every item or game build behaves the same way: consult the mod page for exact mechanics and requirements. Find Item Stack Size 999 in the catalog.

3. 500 Inventory Slots — more inventory space
For players who want additional room for carried items rather than just bigger stacks, 500 Inventory Slots is another catalog-listed option. Confirm how it changes inventory capacity and whether it needs a framework; the catalog result alone does not establish those details. Find 500 Inventory Slots in the catalog.
4. A New Hauling Master — carry more building materials
A New Hauling Master is described as increasing how many planks and stems you can carry, making it relevant to building projects. Its listing text targets game version 1.1.3, so treat current compatibility as unconfirmed unless the mod page shows support for your installed build. Check A New Hauling Master in the Grounded listing.
5. Increased Stacks and Better Processing — combine storage and crafting convenience
This listing describes both increased inventory stacks and faster processing. It may appeal if you want fewer trips to storage and shorter waits for processing, but read the mod’s current documentation to see precisely which stacks and processes it changes. Find Increased Stacks and Better Processing in the listing.
Rank #2
- Explore this immersive and persistent world, where the insect life reacts to your actions.
- Shelter and tools are critical to your survival. Build epic bases to protect you and your stuff from the insects and the elements. Craft weapons, tools, and armor, allowing you to better fight, explore, and survive.
- You can face the backyard alone or together, online, with up to three friends—it is your choice (online console multiplayer requires Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, subscriptions sold separately).
- Uncover the secrets lurking in the shadows of Grounded as you freely explore the backyard and progress through its mysterious story.
- Optimized for Xbox Series X|S: Games optimized for Xbox Series X|S will showcase unparalleled load times, heightened visuals, and frame rates up to 120 FPS.
6. More Raw Science — adjust progression pace
More Raw Science is listed as increasing collectible Raw Science. That can change how quickly you accumulate this progression resource, so it is best suited to players who intentionally want a more generous pace rather than an unchanged survival experience. Verify the current page for its exact effect and compatibility. Find More Raw Science in the Grounded listing.

7. More Droplets — expand canteen capacity options
More Droplets is described as adding options for canteen capacity, making it a survival-convenience choice for players who want to carry more water. Check its page for the available capacities and requirements; those specifics are not established by the catalog description. Find More Droplets in the listing.
8. Fly and Noclip — movement for sandbox exploration
Fly and Noclip is a movement- and cheat-style catalog entry. It is aimed at freeform exploration rather than preserving Grounded’s standard traversal and survival balance. Review the mod page for controls, installation, and current compatibility before use. Find Fly and Noclip in the Grounded catalog.

9. A character replacement mod — change appearance
The Grounded listings include character replacement mods for players seeking a visual change rather than a core gameplay adjustment. Because available replacements and their updates can change, choose a current example from the live listing and confirm what it replaces, which game version it supports, and whether it has dependencies. Browse character replacement mods in the catalog.

UE4SS 3.0.1 is a standalone runtime/framework for Grounded on Steam and Game Pass PC, not a gameplay mod: installing it alone does not add visible content. Some UE4SS-dependent mods need it to run. The Grounded-specific build is described by its author as unofficial and distinct from standard RE-UE4SS, and compatibility with every mod combination or future game update is not guaranteed. Check the Grounded mod listing for UE4SS 3.0.1.

The UE4SS author recommends removing old UE4SS files before a clean installation. If the game fails to start, test the runtime on its own, inspect UE4SS.log, and disable other UE4SS mods one at a time to isolate a conflict. These are the tool author’s troubleshooting directions, not a guarantee that a particular setup will work.
Installation: follow the method for the specific mod
Grounded mods do not all use the same installation route. Some need UE4SS; an older Grounded Mod Manager page describes a different approach for selected .menv mods. It builds a patch from selected files and documents a default Steam Paks folder, but it is older documentation and should not be treated as a universal or currently recommended manager. An older Steam Community guide also points to the game’s Maine/Content/Paks path, but it is not authoritative current installation documentation.
Quick Recap
- Open the individual mod’s current page and confirm its supported game version and platform.
- Read the requirements and install only the framework or other dependencies that page specifies. For UE4SS, use the archive and path for Steam or Game Pass PC as appropriate.
- Follow that mod’s installation and removal instructions; do not assume the Mod Manager, a Paks-folder method, and UE4SS cover the same file formats.
- If startup fails after installing UE4SS, use the author’s troubleshooting steps: remove old runtime files for a clean install, test UE4SS alone, check
UE4SS.log, then disable other UE4SS mods one at a time.
What to verify before downloading
- Current game build: look for a recent update or an explicit supported version, especially for mods whose listing names an older version.
- Steam or Game Pass PC: confirm that the page’s files and instructions match your distribution.
- Dependencies: establish whether the mod is standalone or needs UE4SS or another tool.
- Co-op behavior: do not assume a mod works in a shared world; the available descriptions do not settle multiplayer compatibility.
- Conflicts: a mod page may identify known incompatibilities. If a problem appears after combining mods, test them individually and follow the authors’ recovery advice.
