To complete The Axe from the Lake in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, speak to Zdenyek the Mouth in Tachov, dig up the Broken Axe near Rocktower Pond, craft the Adorned Axe at an anvil with one Fastening Material, then return to Zdenyek.
Start the task in Tachov
- Find Zdenyek the Mouth in Tachov and ask him for a story. Guides place him around the village tavern, barn, or nearby area, so check those spots if he is not immediately visible. Find and dig up the Broken Axe
- Bring a shovel or spade before leaving Tachov; you need it to uncover the buried item.
- Travel southwest of Tachov to the search area near Rocktower Pond. Follow the quest marker and the story’s clues around the water and into the woods toward a grave. - At the grave or search spot, dig and loot the bag to get the Broken Axe.
Craft the Adorned Axe

Return to Zdenyek
