Doug Bradley, who portrayed Pinhead in the films, returns to voice the character; Saber also says Barker guided the game’s story.

A July 16, 2026, developer post on PlayStation.Blog adds detail from game director Emil Esov: Sunny activates the Genesis Configuration, the Cenobites take her, and Aidan discovers her soul may still be saved. The post names the Scarlet Church, led by Marlowe, and the Unworthy as opposing groups with different motives. It describes Aidan fighting with weapons and the box’s powers, including while dual-wielding. How does the puzzle box fit the gameplay?
The Genesis Configuration is more than the story’s inciting object: Saber describes it as a source of abilities that Aidan can use alongside earthly weapons. The official support FAQ categorizes the game as first-person action horror survival, while Saber’s announcement uses the broader description “single-player survival horror action game.” Taken together, those descriptions establish an action-and-survival framework, but they do not provide enough detail to promise specific systems such as crafting, stealth, or resource scarcity.
Esov’s July 2026 post describes combining weapons and Genesis Configuration powers in combat. It also emphasizes that the game is experienced from Aidan Lynch’s perspective. These details help clarify the announced direction without standing in for hands-on evidence about how combat feels or how frequently particular abilities are used.

When does Hellraiser: Revival release, and where can you play it?
Saber’s support FAQ lists October 8, 2026, as the release date and names PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. Steam also lists October 8, 2026. Store availability and listings can vary by region, so check the relevant live storefront for current purchase options.

The FAQ says the game does not require an internet connection. Saber estimates an 8–12-hour playthrough depending on playstyle; that is a publisher estimate, not an independently measured completion time. The same FAQ currently says there are no plans for future DLC or content updates, while patches for post-launch issues are expected. Plans can change, so this is a statement of the publisher’s position at the time of the FAQ, not a guarantee about the game’s future.
What editions and PC requirements are listed?

What the official sources establish—and what they do not
The official material establishes the premise, named characters and factions, first-person survival-horror framing, platforms, and announced release date. It also supplies the studio’s intended description of the game’s tone and combat. It does not establish how the finished game performs, whether its horror is effective for players, or whether the trailer contains particular scenes beyond the details described on the announcement page. Those judgments require playing the released game or consulting independent coverage.
