Rogue Process is The Surge’s final boss, fought in the Nucleus. The safest approach is to bait an attack, dodge, land a few hits on a vulnerable leg, and retreat. After defeating its beast form, activate the overcharge panel at the rear of the arena to start the faster humanoid phase; punish that form only after its attacks finish.

Where to find Rogue Process

The fifth and final boss appears in the Nucleus area; Neoseeker places the encounter at Launch Pad 02 (Restricted Access). Neoseeker’s Rogue Process guide covers the location and encounter. The Surge is an action RPG built around exo-suit equipment and combat that targets individual enemy limbs, as Deck13’s official game page describes.

Phase one: defeat the beast form

The first form is a large, spider-like beast with attacks that vary in speed. Blue-glowing legs are vulnerable; after taking enough damage, a leg turns pink and stops accepting damage. Follow those cues and switch targets when needed rather than committing to a leg that has gone pink.

Use short punish windows

  1. Stay at close-to-mid range and let the boss commit to a readable attack.
  2. Dodge the attack, then land one to three quick hits on a blue leg.
  3. Back away before the boss can answer at close range, and repeat the bait-and-punish cycle.

Watch for melee swipes, a tail stab, ranged ground eruptions or projectiles, and a jumping attack. The close-range crystal burst makes lingering beside the boss risky; move out when it raises spikes around its body. The guides do not establish a universal timing, damage threshold, or required number of legs to target, so use the live vulnerability cues rather than a fixed sequence. Samurai Gamers and Neoseeker describe the form and its attacks.

Activate the panel to start phase two

When the beast form’s health is depleted, go to the console at the rear of the arena and interact with the active overcharge panel. This triggers the humanoid phase; defeating the first form alone does not finish the encounter. Prima Games’ Rogue Process guide also describes the panel transition.

Phase two: punish the humanoid form

The humanoid form moves faster and attacks with melee combos, overhead strikes, a jumping attack, and a spinning dash. An overhead smash can send a cone-shaped damaging shockwave across the ground, so do not assume that dodging the weapon itself clears the danger.

Dodge first, then hit briefly

  1. Keep moving and watch for the boss to commit to a combo, slam, jump, or dash.
  2. Dodge or strafe clear of the attack and its shockwave, then wait for the sequence to end.
  3. Take a short opening of one or two hits, then retreat and reset your distance.

Locking on, circling right, and using dashes is one suggested tactic in Neoseeker’s guide, not a mandatory method. If the boss begins a sustained barrage, prioritize evasion over trying to force extra attacks. Samurai Gamers and Prima Games likewise advise attacking after the boss commits and withdrawing rather than extending a combo.

Rewards and what happens after the fight

Neoseeker reports that defeating Rogue Process awards the Mimetic Edge and 20,000 Tech Scrap. The end-game cutscene and credits follow; New Game+ becomes available afterward, according to the same guide. These rewards and progression details are reported in Neoseeker’s encounter guide.
