How Hurdle’s linked rounds work
Hurdle is a five-round daily word game. Guesses indicate which letters are correct, misplaced, or incorrect. Once you solve a round, its answer becomes the first guess in the next one. In the final round, correct and misplaced letters from earlier answers carry forward.
Those carried highlights are clues, not a reliable tally of how many times a letter appears in the final answer. The Mashable Team’s guide cautions that the number of times a letter was highlighted in earlier guesses does not necessarily match its frequency in the last Hurdle.
