How to handle the maze phase
The signature sequence begins with a pull toward the center. The boss then disappears and a maze phase begins, followed by a damaging attack that destroys the maze. Game8 recommends using a morph to get out and waiting outside until the boss returns; another guide describes an expanding blue area effect and advises running through the maze ahead of it. The sources do not establish which escape method applies to every current version.
- Watch for the central pull and prepare to respond as soon as the maze appears.
- Follow the active in-game telegraph and determine whether the hazard calls for reaching the outside or navigating through the maze. Do not assume the walls can be jumped; a separate guide says they cannot.
- If you reach a safe area, remain there until the boss returns. Game8 recommends healing with skills or items while waiting.

Move clear of the marked circles rather than staying in place to finish an attack. Is Staff of the Umbramancer a boss drop?
Staff of the Umbramancer is an epic in-game weapon, not a physical product. Game8’s item guide names Avolos Umbramancer and Avolos Geomancer in Sanctum of Desire as possible sources, and also mentions weekly missions and crafting.
