Sunday is an Imaginary Harmony support who advances a chosen ally and strengthens that ally, making him a strong fit for summon users and other damage dealers that benefit from taking extra actions. For the current Version 4.6 recommendations, build him around a carry-specific Speed order, reliable Energy, and the team you actually use—not a single universal stat target. HSR Build’s guide, updated September 26, 2026, ranks A Grounded Ascent as his top Light Cone and Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal as his leading set for a common -1 Speed setup.

These are guide recommendations, not a guarantee of identical performance in every mode or lineup. The current source labels its advice Version 4.6; rankings can shift with patches, roster changes, and equipment availability.
Which Light Cone should Sunday use?
HSR Build’s September 26, 2026 guide ranks A Grounded Ascent first. Prydwen’s build analysis describes its Energy and Skill Point support as enabling a realistic three-action rotation and permanent uptime for Sunday’s Ultimate buff. That combination makes it the most straightforward default when you own it.

Best relics and planar ornaments
Relics: Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal
For Sunday’s common -1 Speed setup, use four pieces of Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal. Its two-piece effect grants 6% Speed. The four-piece effect gives the ally targeted by Sunday’s Skill or Ultimate 18% CRIT DMG for two turns, stacking up to two times. The current effects are listed in Icy Veins’ guide and HSR Build’s Version 4.6 page.
Messenger Traversing Hackerspace and Eagle of Twilight Line are alternatives identified by the current build guide. Consider them if they make it easier to reach the Speed order you need or fit the pieces you have, rather than treating the four-piece set as a requirement for using Sunday.
Planar ornaments: choose for the carry and lineup
HSR Build lists Lushaka, the Sunken Seas as its top option when Sunday is supporting a single ATK-scaling DPS, valuing its Energy Regeneration Rate. Broken Keel, Penacony, Fleet of the Ageless, and Sprightly Vonwacq are listed as workable alternatives. A September 7, 2026 Eneba guide for Version 4.5 instead recommends Broken Keel. These recommendations are not necessarily contradictory: the best fit depends on the carry’s scaling, team composition, and whether Energy Regeneration or another set bonus brings more value to your rotation.
Stats, traces, and Speed tuning
Main stats and substats
Use a CRIT DMG body, Speed feet, an HP% or DEF% sphere, and an Energy Regeneration Rate rope. For substats, first reach the Speed relationship your carry needs; then look for CRIT DMG, Effect RES, and HP% or DEF%. The recommended main stats and the Ultimate’s 130-Energy cost are given on HSR Build’s current guide.

A -1 Speed build means the carry acts immediately before Sunday. Sunday then takes his turn and can advance that carry again, creating another action opportunity. The goal is the order, not a fixed Speed number: the exact target depends on the carry and the rest of the team.
Hyperspeed is another possible approach, but the guides here do not establish one threshold that works for every carry and lineup. Be cautious with Dance! Dance! Dance!: as Prydwen notes, its team-wide action advance can disturb a -1 Speed sequence unless you account for it in the tuning.

Trace priority
Level Sunday’s Skill, Ultimate, and Talent before his Basic, following the priority listed by HSR Build. His principal job is enabling and buffing the chosen ally, so the support abilities take precedence in this build.

There is no roster-independent best team established by the current guides. Start with a damage dealer who benefits from Sunday’s action advance, then fill the other slots around that character’s mechanics, Energy needs, and survivability requirements. The following are examples listed in the current HSR Build guide, not a universal tier ranking.

Summon-based carries can benefit from Sunday’s action-advance support, while other carries may value the extra turns and buffs for different reasons. Sunday should not be treated as a plug-in answer to every team: check whether advancing the chosen ally, supporting its summon, and fitting the remaining support and sustain roles actually help your lineup. Prydwen and a historical HoYoLAB community guide from December 2024 also discuss Sunday’s role, but the latter is best read as historical context rather than current ranking authority.
Are Sunday’s Eidolons worth it?
The current HSR Build guide ranks E1 and E2 highest among the Eidolons it covers. They offer meaningful upgrades, but the listed mechanics do not establish an account-specific value calculation or make Eidolons necessary for Sunday to function as a support.
- E1: Grants DEF ignore to the ally targeted by Sunday’s Skill and a larger amount to that ally’s summon for two turns. It is most relevant when your carry and summon can capitalize on that effect.
- E2: Restores two Skill Points after the first Ultimate and increases The Beatified’s damage. Its value is tied to how useful that additional Skill Point supply and damage increase are in your team.
Decide whether either upgrade solves a real constraint in your roster before spending resources. The mechanics are described on HSR Build’s guide; the sources do not provide a universal investment calculation for different accounts.
