Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Guide: Kit, Eidolons & Signature Light Cone

Sunday is an Imaginary Harmony support who advances allies and summons and boosts their damage and critical stats. Here’s what his Eidolons and Light Cone offer—and what older build guides can’t establish about the 2026 meta.

Sunday is a five-star Imaginary Harmony support whose central job is to advance an ally—and that ally’s summon—while improving their damage and critical stats. His signature Light Cone is A Grounded Ascent. The details below separate HoYoverse’s Version 2.7 overview from creator-guide descriptions, which date to December 2024 and should not be mistaken for a current 2026 meta ranking.

What role does Sunday fill?

HoYoverse’s Version 2.7 update announcement identifies Sunday as a five-star Harmony character with the Imaginary combat type. It describes him as a support who can let an ally and that ally’s summon act immediately, restore a portion of a designated ally’s Energy, and increase damage, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG for the character and their summons.

That combination makes Sunday an action-advance and buff support: he can help a chosen damage dealer act sooner, while also supporting summon-focused damage and supplying energy. The announcement gives the high-level role, not a complete, current ability reference.

How Sunday’s kit works

Skill: advance and buff an ally

Creator guides describe Sunday’s Skill as the main ally-targeting action. It advances an ally and provides a damage buff; the official overview also says his action-advance support can include that ally’s summon. The resulting play pattern is to use the Skill on the ally whose next action matters most.

Ultimate and The Beatified

The guides describe Sunday’s Ultimate as restoring Energy to a designated ally and applying The Beatified, a buff associated with his support. The official announcement confirms Energy regeneration and damage and critical-stat support at a broad level, but does not specify the exact live-game values or full duration and targeting rules.

Talent and trace details

Creator-guide descriptions attribute critical-rate support to Sunday’s Talent. One guide also notes a Skill trace that dispels a debuff from the target, as well as Energy-related traces. These are guide-specific descriptions rather than a substitute for the current in-game ability text; check Sunday’s live character screen for exact wording and values before planning around them.

What Sunday’s Eidolons add

The following effects are summarized from a creator guide. They describe the upgrades, not whether pulling an Eidolon is worthwhile for a particular account. The cited excerpt does not detail E3 or E5, so they are omitted rather than inferred.

Eidolon Guide-described effect Practical implication
E1 The Skill target ignores 16% of enemy DEF when dealing damage; the target’s summon ignores 40%. The effect lasts two turns. Adds defense ignore to Sunday’s support, with a larger stated amount for the summon.
E2 Sunday’s first Ultimate use restores two Skill Points and increases The Beatified’s damage by 30%. Combines a one-time Skill Point refund with a stronger buff effect.
E4 Sunday regenerates eight Energy at the start of his turn. Provides Sunday with an additional turn-start Energy source.
E6 The guide describes stackable Talent CRIT Rate support, extended duration, an Ultimate interaction, and conversion of excess CRIT Rate into CRIT DMG. Expands how his Talent support can operate; consult the live Eidolon text for its exact conditions.

The numerical values in this table come from the creator guide, not the official Version 2.7 announcement. They are effect descriptions, not a universal pull recommendation; the value of an Eidolon depends on the account, team, and available alternatives.

Sunday’s signature Light Cone and alternatives

A Grounded Ascent is Sunday’s signature Light Cone. HoYoverse’s Version 2.7 update announcement lists it as a five-star Harmony Light Cone and says it was available in the “Brilliant Fixation: A Grounded Ascent” Light Cone Event Warp. That confirms its Version 2.7 availability only; it does not establish whether it is on a Warp in October 2026.

A December 2024 creator guide recommends A Grounded Ascent for its Energy regeneration, ally damage support, and Skill Point economy. The same guide discusses two alternatives:

  • But the Battle Isn’t Over: The guide characterizes it as providing Energy and Skill Point support.
  • Past and Future: The guide presents it as a lower-cost option for providing a damage buff.

These are creator recommendations, not results from a controlled comparison. When weighing Light Cones, consider how their Energy support, Skill Point economy, buff coverage and duration fit the intended ally and action order; the cited material does not establish a numeric ranking for 2026.

How to think about Sunday’s speed setup

A December 2024 creator guide recommends a “-1 speed” approach: set Sunday’s Speed slightly below the primary damage dealer’s, so the damage dealer acts and Sunday can then use his Skill to advance that ally for another action. It is a way to create a repeatable action rhythm, not a universal Speed target. Team Speed buffs, turn order, the chosen carry, and encounter conditions can all change what works. The available sources do not establish a best-in-slot build for 2026.

What is known about Sunday’s 2026 meta position?

The cited material establishes Sunday’s character identity and broad role in HoYoverse’s Version 2.7 announcement, alongside creator-guide mechanics and build advice from December 2024. It does not compare him with newer Harmony supports or current endgame teams, and it does not establish current top teams, banner availability, or a 2026 meta ranking. Those conclusions require up-to-date comparisons rather than extrapolation from the older guide.
