Epic’s season announcement is the reliable guide to what is planned; the Simpsons developments are a separate past player season and a planned creator toolkit, not confirmation of a newly leaked Simpsons event.
What is in the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 roadmap?
Epic’s August 20, 2026 announcement presents Chapter 7 Season 4 as Override, a gaming-legends season. Its published details include gameplay systems, weapons, Battle Pass characters and planned cosmetics. These are official season announcements, not authenticated contents of a leaked roadmap. Gameplay and weapons
- Override consoles: Epic says these can change server rules.
- Squad Overrides: These broadcast a squad’s location.
- Season weapons: The announcement names Midas’ Masterpiece and Mega Man’s Mega Buster.
Battle Pass and later-season cosmetics
Epic identifies Sonic the Hedgehog as the Battle Pass headline character and names additional outfits and franchises for the season. It says Kingdom Hearts’ Kingdom Key and Rebecca’s guns from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners are planned to arrive later in the season. Planned timing is not the same as confirmation that an item is already available.
Is a Fortnite Season 4 leak confirmed?
No specific leaked roadmap document, source or additional leak claim is authenticated by the available official announcements. Treat any circulating claims as unverified unless their original source and provenance can be checked. Epic’s October 1, 2026 v42.30 ecosystem notes say, “No major roadmap changes to highlight this release,” and point readers to new public roadmap cards. That describes the v42.30 release only; it does not establish that no later changes occurred. See the v42.30 notes.

Is The Simpsons coming back to Fortnite?
There are two distinct Simpsons developments: an earlier player-facing Fortnite season and a later developer-facing creator toolkit announcement. The toolkit is not confirmation of a new player season or the claims of an unidentified leak.
The earlier player-facing Simpsons season
Epic’s Simpsons season announcement described Springfield content, a Battle Pass with Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick and Springfielder Peely outfits, animated shorts, tournaments and limited-time rewards. The reward deadlines in that announcement are historical and have passed, so it should not be used as a guide to current rewards. Epic said the animated shorts were available in Fortnite and on Disney+; a Disney+ subscription was not described as a requirement to play. Read Epic’s Simpsons season announcement.

The planned creator toolkit
Disney announced on June 17, 2026, that a Simpsons toolkit would give Fortnite developers access to characters, locations and assets for creating Simpsons-themed games in Fortnite. Epic’s June 18 announcement said the toolkit was built with Disney, 20th Century Studios and Gracie Films and was planned for later in 2026. The announcements establish a planned creator resource, not its release; a newer official confirmation would be needed to say it is available. Disney’s announcement and Epic’s announcement.

The publishers reported different total play-hour figures for the earlier season. Both said it drew more than 80 million players, but their hour totals do not match; neither announcement explains the difference. Keep each figure tied to the publisher that reported it.
