#1 Best Overall
Green: CARD GAMES
BRIDGE, HEARTS, SPEED, and SPOONS are all names of card games.
Blue: ELEMENTS OF GREEK DRAMA
CHORUS, HERO, HUBRIS, and TRAGEDY are the four terms selected for this puzzle’s Greek-drama category; the grouping is the puzzle’s own, not a claim that these are an exhaustive academic taxonomy.
Rank #2
Purple: SECOND WORDS OF “PETER PAN” CHARACTERS
BELL completes Tinker Bell, DARLING completes Wendy Darling, HOOK completes Captain Hook, and PAN completes Peter Pan.
Why the words can be misleading
Some words have plausible connections outside their intended group. TechRadar’s writer described being drawn toward a songwriting interpretation because BRIDGE, HOOK, and CHORUS are also music terms, but that set does not complete the intended category. It is one solver’s reported experience, not a universal pattern.

How Connections works
Try Hard Guides describes Connections as a daily game in which players sort words into four groups based on a shared thread. Its guide says players select four words and submit a guess, with up to four mistakes allowed and a reset at local midnight. It recommends looking for two or three apparent matches before committing to a full set. TechRadar describes play through NYT Games on desktop or mobile. Game mechanics and access details can change.
