That is a dated report, not a verified inventory for every day of September or for every region and account. It also helps to distinguish reward codes from gift-card credit and Creative Island access codes: they do different things and are redeemed in different ways.
Were there working Fortnite reward codes in September 2025?
All Things How’s guide, “Fortnite Codes (September 2025) — Latest working list”, published September 15, 2025, stated: “There are no official active redeem code promotions at this time.” This supports the status reported on that date only. It does not establish that no temporary, regional, or account-specific offer existed earlier or later in the month, and no official Epic page reviewed provided a month-wide historical list.

Epic’s September 10, 2025 Fortnite Ecosystem v37.20 announcement covered Creative and UEFN updates, not a general list of redeem promotions. Its silence about reward codes should not be treated as evidence that no promotions were available elsewhere.
What kind of Fortnite code do you have?
Check a code’s purpose and issuer before entering it. A product code may unlock a product or associated entitlement, a gift card adds paid balance, and an Island code opens published Creative content. An Island code is not a V-Bucks or cosmetic reward.
#1 Best Overall
- Redeemable on accounts in the United States and in U.S. Dollars.
- Gift card must be redeemed at EpicGames.com/redeem. This gift card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly on a console device (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
- If you play Fortnite experiences on a console device, you need to link your Epic Games account to your console account(s) so items purchased at Fortnite.com/item-shop appear across all of your linked accounts
- Requires internet connection, valid Epic account and prior acceptance of the terms
- Redemption: Online
| Code type | What it does | Where to redeem or use it |
|---|---|---|
| Epic product code | Redeems a code distributed with retail DVDs or other Epic Games products. | Epic Games Launcher or Epic Games Store website, following Epic’s redemption steps. |
| Fortnite gift card | Adds paid funds to an Epic account balance; Epic says the balance can be used for V-Bucks, Fortnite Crew, and packs. | Use the official Fortnite gift-card process. |
| Creative Island code | Lets players access a published island. | Enter it to access the island in Fortnite; it does not redeem an account-level reward. See Epic’s explanation of Island codes. |
Do not assume a code described online as a “creator code” is a player reward code. The available official information here does not establish a creator code’s specific function, so check the offer’s own source and terms rather than treating it as a way to claim free items.
How to redeem an Epic product code
Epic’s support instructions say to sign into the account where you want the entitlement, then redeem through the launcher or store website. The launcher steps are:
Rank #2

- Redemption: Online
- Open the Epic Games Launcher and sign in to the intended Epic account.
- Click your account name.
- Choose “Redeem Code.”
- Enter the code and select “Redeem.”
- Look for the confirmation message indicating successful redemption.
On the Epic Games Store website, sign in to the intended account, enter the code, and redeem it. Epic warns: “Make sure you’re signed in to the right account! Funds and purchases can’t be transferred.” If redemption fails, verify the code’s source, account, stated region or eligibility limits, and expiration terms; a recycled list alone does not prove a code still works.
How to judge a code list safely
- Purpose: Determine whether the code is for a product, paid account balance, an island, or an actual promotional reward.
- Source: Prefer the issuer’s announcement or redemption page over copied lists.
- Redemption route: Use the official location specified for that code type; an Island code is not entered as a product code.
- Conditions: Check any stated account, region, or eligibility restrictions.
- Date: Look for an expiration date and whether the offer remains current. A status report from September 15, 2025 does not establish availability beyond that date.
Gift cards are paid credit, not free codes
If you want to add money for Fortnite purchases, Epic’s gift-card page describes a paid route to account balance usable for V-Bucks, Crew, and packs. That is separate from a free promotional code and should not be presented as one.
