After step 1 of The Dawn of a New Discovery, choose Emolga, Crabrawler, or Ducklett. Your choice prioritizes that Pokémon on the Nearby radar and determines the matching step 2 catch task and encounter. The available guides do not show that any path gives better overall rewards, so choose the Pokémon you would most like to see.
What the Radar Tuning choice changes
The choice appears after you finish the first step of this free, three-step Special Research tied to Pokémon GO Fest 2024. Select one of these paths:
- Radar Tuning: Emolga
- Radar Tuning: Crabrawler
- Radar Tuning: Ducklett
The selected Pokémon is prioritized on your Nearby radar. It also determines the branch-specific task and encounter in step 2. The sources listing the quest do not establish a difference in overall rewards between the paths.
Step 1 of 3: Shared tasks and rewards
Everyone starts with the same tasks; the Radar Tuning branch comes afterward.
