Good multiplayer communities are not guaranteed by a game, but some games make it easier to find a group, ask for help, and share the experience. These ten picks are recommendations—not an objective ranking—based on their cooperative or social design and the community tools documented by their developers. Your experience can still vary by platform, region, play mode, and the people you meet.
How to choose a multiplayer game for its community
A useful community is more than a friendly match. Consider whether the game gives you a way to find a group, whether its activities reward cooperation, and whether there are places to ask questions or share ideas. Official forums, group finders, and codes of conduct show that support structures exist; they do not prove every player is welcoming or every space is equally active.
The games below are ordered for readability, not ranked by a measured friendliness score. Official information is available for the first seven entries. Helldivers 2, Monster Hunter, and Sea of Thieves are included as social-play candidates, but the sources available here do not establish title-specific community features for them, so no such claims are made.
Games with documented community tools
Deep Rock Galactic
Deep Rock Galactic is built around four-player cooperative shooting, giving friends or matchmaking groups a shared mission rather than a contest against one another. Ghost Ship Games identifies Discord as the game’s main regular communication channel and lists spaces for general discussion, fan art, and finding a group. That makes it a practical choice if you want to look for teammates or take part in fan conversation outside a match. Those channels are infrastructure, not a promise about the behavior of every player. Deep Rock Galactic’s official community page explains the available channels.

FINAL FANTASY XIV
FINAL FANTASY XIV offers more than one way to find recurring company. Its official Community Finder helps players discover friends, linkshells, and Free Companies. Free Companies are player-run groups with shared chat and activities; linkshells are dedicated chat groups, and players can join multiple linkshells for different interests. That structure suits players who want a regular group, as well as those who prefer separate circles for particular topics.
Warframe
Warframe’s strongest documented community signal is its published conduct policy rather than a claim about how welcoming its players are. Digital Extremes’ guidelines apply to in-game activity and official community platforms, including forums and Discord, and describe moderator authority to remove or edit content and issue warnings. Read the Warframe Code of Conduct and Guidelines to understand the standards and moderation framework; a written policy cannot guarantee how an individual interaction will go.

Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 has official spaces for questions, player help, and social discovery. ArenaNet describes its forum as a place to discuss the game, ask and answer questions, share creations, and support other players. The studio has also invited players to an official Discord for guild-finding, lore discussion, screenshots, questions, and helping newcomers. The official forum guide and Discord announcement outline those community options.
Destiny 2
Destiny 2’s clan system is designed for player-managed groups. Bungie says clans can be accessed in-game and through Bungie channels, with tools for playing, progressing, communicating, and managing a community. Clans can give players a recurring group for activities rather than relying only on one-off matchmaking. Bungie’s Clans Guide describes the system.

Minecraft
Minecraft supports different levels of social play, from local co-op and private worlds to matchmaking and servers. Its official multiplayer guide highlights private Realms, parties, and multiplayer adventures, so players can choose between a smaller group they know and a broader server community. The right fit depends on whether you want a controlled space or the unpredictability of joining a public server. See Minecraft’s guide to playing with friends.
Roblox
Roblox is not one uniform community: its games and player groups differ, and the platform’s community features vary by tier. Roblox Support documents capabilities such as announcements, polls, events, and forums, with posting access dependent on tier. That can support participation around a group or experience, but what you can do depends on the community’s eligibility and setup. The Roblox Community Tiers guide explains the differences.

Three additional candidates for social play
Helldivers 2, Monster Hunter, and Sea of Thieves are natural candidates for a list about multiplayer experiences, but the sources available for this article do not substantiate specific group-finding tools, official community channels, or newcomer-support features for these games. They are included as games to consider, not as evidence-backed claims that their communities are especially welcoming. Before choosing one for its social environment, check current official channels and community guidelines for the edition and platform you plan to use.
Helldivers 2
Consider Helldivers 2 if cooperative multiplayer is the part of the experience you want to explore. The information cited here does not establish how players find groups or what official newcomer resources are available, so treat community fit as something to assess for yourself.
Best Value
- Your goal: try to collect as few points as possible over several rounds of play as quickly as possible by skilfully uncovering, exchanging and collecting playing cards, as few points as possible. But this can only be done as long as a player has not revealed all their cards, otherwise the round of game ends. So be careful, keep an eye on the game and the players

Monster Hunter
Monster Hunter is another candidate for players seeking multiplayer play. Because the series includes multiple releases, the relevant multiplayer and community options depend on the particular game; the sources here do not establish a shared set of community features across them.
Sea of Thieves
Sea of Thieves rounds out the shortlist as a multiplayer candidate, but no title-specific official community evidence is available here to support a claim about its group-finding or player-help systems. Check the current guidance for your platform and play mode before choosing it specifically for community access.
Quick Recap
How to find a good fit before committing
- Decide how social you want to be. Private worlds, player groups, public servers, and official discussion spaces offer different levels of interaction.
- Look for a newcomer path. A community finder, beginner-friendly group, forum, or help channel can make it easier to get oriented.
- Check the rules and moderation approach. Published standards tell you what conduct is expected and where moderation applies, but do not guarantee a particular experience.
- Try the social features that match your comfort level. You can start with known friends or a small group before joining larger public spaces.
