Behaviour Interactive announced the Dead by Daylight: Castlevania chapter on August 6, 2024, but the official announcement and chapter page reviewed here do not confirm its exact PTB date or initial chapter release date. August 27 and September 12 refer to the separate Castlevania cosmetic collection and later outfits—not the chapter’s PTB or launch.
When was the Dead by Daylight Castlevania chapter announced?
Behaviour Interactive published its chapter announcement on August 6, 2024. It introduced Dracula as the Killer and Trevor Belmont as the Survivor, and described Dracula’s transformations and Trevor’s perks. The announcement did not specify when the chapter’s Public Test Build (PTB) or full release would arrive. Behaviour Interactive’s chapter announcement
Was a Castlevania PTB date announced?
The official materials reviewed do not establish an exact Castlevania PTB date. A May 15, 2024 anniversary recap said Castlevania was coming “later this summer,” but its reference to a PTB “today” concerned the Dungeons & Dragons chapter, not Castlevania. Behaviour Interactive’s anniversary recap
What is the Castlevania chapter release date?
The reviewed official chapter announcement and Castlevania chapter page do not give a precise initial release date. The chapter page presents Castlevania as playable and identifies the Vampire Killer as an exclusive chapter item, but it does not display a PTB or release date. On the evidence of those pages, an exact date cannot be confirmed.

Do August 27 and September 12 refer to the chapter launch?
No. August 27, 2024 is the date of Behaviour Interactive’s announcement for the separate Castlevania Collection in the in-game store. That post said Mikaela Reid and Kate Denson outfits would arrive September 12. Those dates are for the cosmetic collection and specified outfits, not verified dates for the chapter’s PTB or original release. Behaviour Interactive’s Castlevania Collection announcement
