This guide records what the two paid research tracks asked players to do and what they offered; neither track is available now.
When did Road to Sinnoh run?
Road to Sinnoh ran from Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. through Friday, February 23, at 10:00 p.m. local time. It led into Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh Global, a free event for all Trainers on February 24–25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. The Pokémon GO team stated, “Please note that Timed Research expires.” All Road to Sinnoh Timed Research tasks had to be completed and rewards claimed by Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

What were the two paid research tracks?
Players could buy either or both tickets for US$5.00 each, or the equivalent local pricing tier. Sales ran from February 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. through February 25 at 6:00 p.m. local time. Tickets could not be purchased with PokéCoins. The Hatch track focused on hatching Eggs; the Raids track focused on winning raids. Their bonuses and research rewards were separate.

Road to Sinnoh: Hatch Timed Research tasks and rewards
Leek Duck’s event guide listed six consecutive hatch goals. Encounter rewards repeated in the same Chatot–Pachirisu–Carnivine order twice.

Completing the track also awarded 4,000 Stardust, one Incubator, and the Pikachu Fan Mask. The Pokémon GO team said the research encounters could be shiny. The Hatch ticket’s double XP, Candy, and Stardust were bonuses, not additional research encounter rewards.

Road to Sinnoh: Raids Timed Research tasks and rewards
The event guide listed four raid-win milestones, with an encounter at each milestone:

The official announcement lists the track’s additional research rewards as 10 Dialga Candy, 10 Palkia Candy, 5 Heatran Candy XL, 5 Giratina Candy XL, 5 Cresselia Candy XL, 5 Darkrai Candy XL, and an Eevee Fan Mask. Separately, the Raids ticket gave 5,000 additional XP for completed raids, one additional Candy for catching a Pokémon in raids, and two additional Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs each day.

Was there also free Sinnoh Timed Research?
Yes. Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh-themed Timed Research was available throughout the event, with Heatran, Origin Forme Giratina, Cresselia, and Darkrai listed as encounter rewards. The official announcement did not provide the task text or connect each encounter to a particular task, so those details cannot be specified here.

- Half Egg Hatch Distance applied to Eggs put into an Incubator during the event.
- The Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 10 from February 19–22, then there was no Remote Raid limit from February 23–25.
- 2 km Eggs could hatch Budew, Chingling, Bonsly, Happiny, Munchlax, Riolu, and Mantyke.
