For Maruzensky, start with Turf Mile races and the Front Runner strategy: all three aptitudes are rated A, and her growth bonuses favor Speed (+10%) and Wit (+20%). There is no single best support deck or universal final stat line, though. The right setup depends on whether you are training for career progress, Team Trials, or a Champions Meeting, as well as the race distance and the cards you actually own.
Which distance and running style suit Maruzensky?
Formula R Maruzensky is most naturally suited to Turf, Mile, and Front Runner, each listed at aptitude A by Umamusume.run. Sprint and Medium are B, while Long is C. Mile Front Runner is therefore the strongest default; Sprint or Medium can make sense when the race or roster calls for them, but Long is the less natural fit.
Aptitude is a starting point, not a complete race plan. Choose the event and its conditions first, then build around the distance’s stamina needs and the skills your deck can provide.
What stats should you train?
Use growth bonuses to guide training
Umamusume.run lists Maruzensky’s growth bonuses as 10% Speed and 20% Wit, with no listed growth modifiers for Stamina, Power, or Guts. Those bonuses make Speed and Wit efficient training priorities, but they do not make the other stats optional. Stamina in particular must be adequate for the chosen distance and conditions.

Treat simulator numbers as examples, not breakpoints
Umamusume.run displays these approximate stat ranges in its Maruzensky simulator presets:
| Preset | Speed | Stamina | Power | Guts | Wit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| General training | 1,153–1,192 | 1,001–1,025 | 1,065–1,182 | 1,096–1,145 | 717–784 |
| PvP Champions Meeting examples | 1,176–1,200 | 1,015–1,030 | 1,145–1,161 | 997–1,115 | 731–765 |
These are outputs from that site’s particular simulation setups, not required targets or independently tested breakpoints. The source set does not establish one universally correct final stat line. Set your distance, scenario, and goal first; ensure stamina is sufficient, then distribute remaining training according to the race plan and available deck.

For PvP, account for the stamina ceiling
The Global PvP guide from Umamusume Global Reference, updated August 26, 2026, ranks stat priorities as Stamina > Speed > Power > Wit > Guts for its PvP framing. It also warns that stamina has a distance-specific ceiling: if a build is substantially below the relevant target, stamina can be more valuable than extra Speed, but training beyond the ceiling stops helping. This is PvP guidance, not a rule for career runs.
How should you choose Maruzensky support cards?
Choose cards for the race, scenario, stats, and skills you need—not because one deck is labeled universally best. The Global support guide is explicitly PvP-focused, while Umamusume.run’s simulator shows separate model-generated training and Champions Meeting decks. Their recommendations describe particular presets and assumptions, not a shopping list that applies to every account.

Use the simulator decks as starting points
Umamusume.run lists a general-training deck of three Guts, two Speed, and one Wit, alongside alternatives that use Power or Stamina. Its displayed Champions Meeting examples also use three Guts and two Speed cards, with a Power, Wit, or Stamina card in the remaining slot. These combinations can help you understand the site’s modeled approach, but should not be treated as required compositions.
Compare cards in the context of your goal and collection
- Goal and scenario: Career completion, Team Trials, and a Champions Meeting can call for different stat distributions.
- Race conditions: Mile, Sprint, and Medium races change stamina needs and the relevance of particular skills.
- Your actual card pool: A theoretical ranking is not useful if you do not own the card at a workable strength. The Global tier-list guide says rankings vary with the selected deck preset, and skill value can matter beyond a card’s pure score.
- Growth and skill access: Maruzensky’s Speed and Wit bonuses affect training balance, but useful skill hints and the needs of the planned race also matter.
The Global tier list and support guide are fan-made resources, not official Cygames recommendations. Their rankings and stat priorities are best read within their stated PvP and deck-scoring context.

When should you adapt the default build?
- For Mile Turf Front Runner: Use this as the natural baseline because all three aptitudes are A.
- For Sprint: Her B aptitude makes it a possible alternative when the event or your roster favors it; reassess stamina and relevant skills for that race.
- For Medium: B aptitude makes it viable when the objective warrants it, but plan stamina for the actual distance rather than copying a Mile preset.
- For Long: C aptitude makes this the least natural listed option. Choose it only when your specific objective justifies adapting around the weaker aptitude.
