There is no verified single “best” M15 Mod 0 attachment list in the available official Black Ops 7 sources. The clearest current guidance is to consider extra recoil control for mid- and long-range use: Season 03 increased the rifle’s view and gun kick. For close-range play, weigh that against handling and mobility rather than treating recoil reduction as an automatic upgrade.
What loadout should you use?
Use the M15 Mod 0 as a general-purpose, full-auto assault rifle, and choose attachments around the distances at which you expect to fight. If you mainly take mid- or long-range engagements, recoil control deserves particular attention after the Season 03 changes. If you favor closer fights, handling and mobility may matter more to your build.
That is a build direction, not a proven attachment recipe. Call of Duty’s official weapon page lists Multiplayer Build Code Alpha and Bravo, Zombies Build Code, and Warzone Build Code as “COMING SOON.” The official sources cited here do not compare complete attachment combinations or identify a best-in-slot setup.
Why recoil matters more at range
In its April 2026 Season 03 notes, Call of Duty said the M15 Mod 0’s recoil changes would be felt at mid and longer ranges and that some builds might benefit from an additional recoil-helping attachment. The update increased View Kick strength and deviation, as well as Gun Kick strength and deviation. It did not name an optimal recoil attachment or publish comparative build results.

Use that change as a reason to check how your rifle behaves at your usual engagement distance, not as proof that one attachment is mandatory. Gunsmith’s core stat groupings include firepower, accuracy and recoil, mobility, and handling; improving one area can affect the balance of the build.
Start with the rifle’s verified basics
Call of Duty describes the M15 Mod 0 as a “Full-auto assault rifle. Well-rounded in its power, accuracy, and handling.” The weapon page, dated November 13, 2025, lists it as an immediate unlock with a maximum weapon level of 47.

The launch guide lists three 30-round magazines and these attachment categories:
- Optic
- Muzzle
- Barrel
- Underbarrel
- Magazine
- Rear grip
- Stock
- Laser
- Fire mods
The breadth of categories gives you room to tune the rifle, but the category list alone does not establish which attachments currently perform best. Check the in-game Gunsmith for the mode you play and the current attachment values.

Account for mode-specific tuning
Do not assume an attachment value published for Warzone also applies to Multiplayer. In March 2026, Season 02 Reloaded Warzone notes reduced the Monolithic Suppressor’s bullet-velocity benefit from 20% to 10% and its damage-range benefit from 12% to 6%. The same notes reduced the Bowen Linchpin Stock’s recoil-control benefit from 15% to 10%. Those are Warzone-specific changes, not universal Multiplayer values.
For a fair build comparison, use the mode-specific Gunsmith values and consider:

- Accuracy and recoil: how consistently you can keep shots on target during sustained fire.
- Mobility and handling: whether the build still suits the pace and positioning you use.
- Firepower: whether the trade-offs make sense for your intended role.
The AMR .50 Cal Kit is a specialized conversion
Call of Duty’s July 2026 Season 05 notes describe the M15 Mod 0 AMR .50 Cal Kit as an in-season weekly challenge reward. The conversion changes the rifle to .50 caliber and trades fire rate and recoil control for power and distance lethality. That makes it a distinct, specialized option—not evidence of the best general-purpose M15 Mod 0 build.

The official launch guide identifies the MFS 5.56 NATO FMJ as the M15 Mod 0’s prestige attachment. Call of Duty says its subsonic 5.56 NATO rounds prevent firing signatures from appearing on the minimap and improve damage range and inflicted flinch, at the expense of bullet velocity. Those stated effects describe the attachment’s trade-offs; they do not establish that it belongs in every build.

How to choose a build in Gunsmith
- Pick your mode. Use the Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone Gunsmith values relevant to the mode you play.
- Set your intended range. Decide whether the rifle is primarily for close, mid-range, or longer-range encounters.
- Inspect the current stats. Compare recoil and accuracy against mobility, handling, and firepower before committing to attachments.
- Test the build in your mode. Pay attention to whether recoil control helps at your usual distance without making the rifle feel wrong for your playstyle.
- Recheck after balance updates. Patch changes can alter attachment benefits or the rifle’s handling, so a once-suitable setup may no longer fit.
