Walz joked about his football-game skills: “I don’t know how to punt. The last time I punted was on like Madden 98,” the Star Tribune reported. He also said, “If you can learn to punt on Madden, you can vote.”
What did Walz say about Crazy Taxi?
After Madden, Walz played Crazy Taxi, in which players pick up passengers and race to deliver them for fares. He recalled buying a Sega Dreamcast when he had his first real job and described himself as a “first-generation gamer.” PC Gamer reported that he called Crazy Taxi his favorite and said: “If you haven’t got it, go get this game people, it is really sweet.”

- Choose form on eof 4 different drivers, and cruise the city in you cab looking for fares
- Rack up points by getting your fares there as fast as possible -- get em there faster by performing crazy stunts
- Start weaving between cars without scratching up your car, do jumps, or sliding around corners to get the fare there faster
- Play in 3, 5 or 10 minute rounds
- Try out Crazy Box, the mode that makes things harder & crazier as you go
Walz also quipped, “The Republicans will accuse me of never having a Dreamcast or something.” His Dreamcast recollection is not evidence that the Twitch gameplay itself ran on an original Dreamcast: PC Gamer noted that he referred to an Xbox controller, and the reports do not establish the stream’s full technical setup.
Ocasio-Cortez also showed viewers her Stardew Valley farm during the appearance.

- As a fearless cab driver with attitude, your goal is to rack up the mega-bucks before your shift ends. It's a race against the clock as you pick up passengers and white-knuckle it through busy streets and back alleys to their various destinations. To keep that meter collecting cash, you've gotta take the fastest route possible, even if it means bending the traffic laws--just a little. So get a grip on the wheel, sharpen your senses, and don't lose your cool.
How many people watched, and what was the campaign context?
The Minnesota Star Tribune reported that more than 12,000 people watched on Ocasio-Cortez’s channel, with additional viewers watching from Vice President Kamala Harris’ channel. The report did not give a count for Harris’ channel or a combined audience total.
The Star Tribune framed the appearance as an effort to reach young men in the closing stretch of the 2024 presidential campaign. That describes the reported campaign aim; the viewer figure does not show whether the stream persuaded anyone or changed votes.

Did Walz offer Ocasio-Cortez the House speakership?
No. A clip circulated with that claim, but AFP’s October 30, 2024 fact-check found it misleading: the edited segment omitted context in which Walz was discussing committee gavels. AFP also noted that the House elects its Speaker. The AFP fact-check explains the missing context.
