The HCS Major Arlington 2025 was scheduled for April 18–20 at Esports Stadium Arlington, but the available official event and city sources do not confirm that a power failure halted play. The outage and any resulting closure or schedule changes remain unverified.
What is confirmed about the HCS Arlington Major?
Official HCS material identified the event as its 2025 Arlington kickoff Major, scheduled for April 18–20 at Esports Stadium Arlington. The event roadmap advertised an open bracket, side events and a $250,000 main 4v4 prize pool. HCS’s 2025 roadmap provides those event details.
The event rules list Halo Studios and ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) as administrators and give the venue address as 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington, Texas 76011. The rules are version 1.0, dated March 2025. Read the official HCS Major Arlington 2025 rules.
Did a power outage halt play or close the venue?
The accessible official event roadmap, rules, ticket listing and City of Arlington venue article do not report a power outage. A Reddit search-result excerpt contains an unverified allegation about an outage and a fire marshal directing people to close the venue, but the discussion itself was inaccessible and the claim is not corroborated by the available sources. It cannot establish that a failure occurred, that play stopped, or that the venue closed.

It also does not establish whether organizers announced refunds or schedule changes, or issued an incident statement.
