The May 3, 2025 guide to Fisch’s Lobster Fishing update lists five rods: Fang of the Eclipse, Astralhook, Great Rod of Oscar, Carrot, and Lobster. It reports different level, quest, and purchase requirements for each. Treat those routes as historical, not guaranteed current instructions: a later changelog says Lobster Shores was removed until lobster fishing returns as a proper mechanic, and current access to every rod has not been established.
Which rods did the update guide list?
Beebom’s May 3, 2025 roundup names five rods and reports their unlock routes and stats. The table preserves those claims as published; check in-game availability and requirements before pursuing them.
| Rod | Reported unlock in the May 3, 2025 guide | Reported stats and passive |
|---|---|---|
| Fang of the Eclipse Rod | Reach level 2000; the guide says it is free. | Base stats: 80% lure speed, 80% luck, 0.15 control, 20% resilience, and 25,000 Max Kg. During an Eclipse event, the guide reports stronger stats and event passives; it also says Solarblaze can apply outside the event. |
| Astralhook Rod | Reach level 2500; the guide says it is free. | 100% lure speed, 200% luck, 0.2 control, 20% resilience, and infinite Max Kg. Its reported passives relate to progress speed, an enchanted pool, and perfect catches. |
| Great Rod of Oscar | Buy it from Oscar’s Locker near Cursed Shores for 5,000,000 E$. | 95% lure speed, 280% luck, 0.1 control, 10% resilience, and infinite Max Kg; reported bonuses are 1.25× XP, 30% progress speed, and a 5% Oscar-mutation chance. |

| Lobster Rod | Catch Lobster King and complete Mike’s quest; the guide says it is free. | 60% lure speed, 110% luck, 0.3 control, 10% resilience, and a 30% Lobster-mutation chance. Its Max Kg is disputed: the guide says 200,000, while the Fisch Wiki rod page says 20,000. |

The changelog initially lists lobster fishing, utility boats, the level 2000 and 2500 rods, and Lobster King among the update contents. A later note says Lobster Shores was removed until lobster fishing becomes a proper mechanic in a future update. That change makes the May 2025 guide historical coverage rather than confirmation that its routes still work today. The reviewed sources do not establish current availability for every rod.
