Best Unreal Engine 5 Games: What’s Confirmed and What to Play

Black Myth: Wukong is an officially confirmed UE5 example. Epic’s broader Unreal Engine roundups offer other discovery leads, but don’t establish the engine generation for every game.

Black Myth: Wukong is the clearest confirmed pick in the available official sources: Epic says Game Science made the action RPG using Unreal Engine 5. Other popular games appear in Epic’s Unreal Engine roundups, but those roundups do not consistently identify the engine generation. This guide treats them as games to investigate—not as a verified list of 20 UE5 titles.

One confirmed Unreal Engine 5 game to start with

Black Myth: Wukong

Epic describes Black Myth: Wukong as an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology and explicitly says Game Science used UE5 to create it. That makes it a confirmed example in the cited official material. The source does not establish current platform availability, editions, or system requirements, so check the game’s official or storefront listing for those details.

Promising games that need title-by-title engine confirmation

Epic’s Unreal Engine game roundups identify several games as Unreal Engine titles, including the following. That wording alone does not confirm that a particular game uses UE5; verify the engine version with its developer or publisher before treating it as a UE5 recommendation.

  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
  • Remnant II
  • Palworld
  • Pacific Drive
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

These are discovery leads, not a ranked or fully verified top five. Choose among them by the experience you want—such as narrative adventure, action, survival, or horror—and confirm the genre, current release state, platforms, and requirements on each game’s official listing. A broad engine roundup is not a substitute for those details.

How to choose a UE5 game that fits you

“Best” depends on what you want to play, not on the engine label alone. For a useful shortlist, compare games on criteria you can confirm from their current official pages:

  • Genre and pace: Look for the kind of play you enjoy, whether that is an action RPG, shooter, survival game, horror experience, or slower narrative adventure.
  • Solo or multiplayer: Check whether the game supports the way you plan to play and whether online features are central or optional.
  • Challenge and story: Consider how much difficulty, exploration, and narrative emphasis you want; do not infer these from UE5 use.
  • Platform and release state: Confirm the current platform listing and whether the version you want is available in your region.
  • Game-specific technical details: Use the developer’s current requirements and feature descriptions rather than assuming every UE5 game implements the same technology.

Do Unreal Engine 5 games need a powerful PC?

There is no single PC requirement for “a UE5 game.” Epic’s UE5.8 hardware and software specifications describe requirements for using the engine and selected features; they are not minimum or recommended specifications for every finished game. Epic Games Store support directs players to the requirements on each game’s store page. Check that listing for the exact game, platform, and current version before buying.

Likewise, UE5 capabilities do not guarantee a particular game uses them or performs in a particular way. Epic identifies Nanite and Lumen as UE5 features, but whether a game uses either, which settings it offers, and the resulting frame rate are game-specific. Do not choose a game or estimate performance from the engine name alone.
