The five games named as alternatives to Axie Infinity in a July 2021 Tech Times article are CryptoKitties, Sorare, Gods Unchained, F1 Delta Time, and Evolution Land. They offer very different activities, and the old list is not a current ranking: official sources support current signals for Gods Unchained and Sorare, but do not establish whether CryptoKitties, F1 Delta Time, or Evolution Land can be played today.
What the “top five” list means
Tech Times published the list on July 20, 2021, under the title “Top 5 NFT Games Aside from Axie Infinity”. It is best read as a snapshot of games the article discussed at that time, not as a ranking based on current player numbers, activity, or availability. The five entries span collectible breeding, fantasy sports, card combat, motorsport-themed collectibles, and virtual-land simulation.
NFT games use blockchain-linked digital assets, but that does not make their markets or rewards predictable. A card or collectible may have uses inside a game; its existence does not establish that it will retain value or generate income. DappRadar’s Q3 2025 industry report describes gaming as a leading dapp sector while also noting the difficulty Web3 games face in attracting a mainstream audience. That broad sector view cannot establish the health of any specific title.
How the five games differ
CryptoKitties: collect and breed cats
CryptoKitties centers on virtual cats that players can buy, breed, sell, or sire for other users. Its official guide also explains Ethereum gas fees as part of the historical experience. Because that guide is years old, it describes the game’s mechanics as documented there; it does not confirm that the game is currently available or maintained.

Sorare: fantasy sports built around digital player cards
Sorare uses digital player cards in fantasy-sports experiences. Its current help center has sections for football, NBA, and MLB, so describing it only as a football game leaves out its broader sports coverage.
In an official article dated October 8, 2025, Sorare described a planned migration from StarkEx to Solana and said it aimed to increase NFT utility through an open ecosystem. The article records the company’s plan and rationale; it does not by itself establish that the migration is complete or describe every current technical detail. Gods Unchained: strategic digital card battles
Gods Unchained is a strategic trading-card game built around collecting cards, constructing decks, and playing battles. Its official portal describes collecting and trading cards and lists game modes. At the time of the cited research, the portal showed updates from September and October 2026, and Immutable Play listed the game as available. Ethereum.org also characterizes it as free-to-play and focused on competitive play and ownership of game items: Ethereum.org’s games overview. Availability and access can change, so check the official portal for current details.
The official GODS information page describes GODS as the game’s native ERC-20 token, with uses including crafting NFTs, buying packs, and governance. It lists a total supply of 500 million GODS; that is a token-supply figure, not a measure of player demand or a forecast of returns.

F1 Delta Time: a historical motorsport-themed entry
The 2021 article described F1 Delta Time as a Formula 1-themed blockchain game and collection involving cars, drivers, and other in-game NFTs. Those are historical descriptions from that article, not confirmation of current features or service. Current playability or operator status was not established by the cited sources.
Evolution Land: a historical virtual-land simulation
The same article presented Evolution Land as a virtual-land simulation involving land and resource management. That description reflects its 2021 coverage; current mechanics, availability, and operation were not established by the cited sources.

Which one fits which kind of player?
| Game | Main activity described | What current sources establish |
|---|---|---|
| CryptoKitties | Collecting, breeding, buying, and selling virtual cats | An official guide documents mechanics, but it is years old and does not establish current availability. |
| Sorare | Fantasy sports using digital player cards | Current help sections cover football, NBA, and MLB. A company update dated October 8, 2025 described a planned StarkEx-to-Solana migration; completion is not established here. |
| Gods Unchained | Strategic collectible-card battles | The official portal and Immutable Play listing provide current game signals; check the portal for present access and details. |
| F1 Delta Time | Motorsport-themed cars, drivers, and other NFTs, as described in 2021 | Current playability or operator status is not established by the cited sources. |
| Evolution Land | Virtual land and resource management, as described in 2021 | Current mechanics, availability, or operator status is not established by the cited sources. |
If you want a competitive card game, Gods Unchained is the clearest match in this list based on its current official presentation. If fantasy sports are the draw, Sorare’s help resources show a broader scope than football alone. CryptoKitties is the breeding-and-collecting concept, while the F1 Delta Time and Evolution Land descriptions should be treated as historical until a current official source confirms their status.
Do NFT games let players earn crypto?
They may involve tokens, tradable cards, or other blockchain assets, but neither token use nor the ability to trade guarantees a profit. Prices can vary, and the cited sources do not establish likely player returns for these games. Even the GODS page’s token uses and stated supply are descriptions of the token, not evidence that playing produces income. Treat “play games and earn crypto?” as a question, not a promise.
