Both Incarnate and Therian Tornadus are pure Flying types, so Electric-, Ice- and Rock-type attacks target their weaknesses. Tornadus was listed for Niantic’s July 26, 2026 GO Fest raid event, but it is not in the October 7–13 five-star rotation reported by Pokémon GO Hub. That schedule lists Yveltal instead; check the in-game raid map and official announcements for the live lineup before using a pass.
Is Tornadus in raids today?
Niantic’s official GO Fest 2026 update listed both Tornadus formes in the special five-star raid event on July 26, 2026. That was a past appearance, not confirmation of current availability. Pokémon GO Hub’s October 2026 raid schedule, reported October 8, lists Yveltal in five-star raids from October 7–13, followed by Dialga, Palkia and Origin Forme Giratina later in the month; it does not list Tornadus. Check the game or Niantic’s current event announcements for any changes.
Tornadus weaknesses and raid counters
Both formes are pure Flying type according to Pokémon GO Hub’s 2026 guides for Incarnate Tornadus and Therian Tornadus. Electric, Ice and Rock attacks are super effective. Niantic explains that super-effective attacks deal more damage and that attacks matching a Pokémon’s type receive a power boost; see its attack types guide. When choosing a counter, prioritize a strong eligible attack and, where practical, one that matches the attacker’s type.

#1 Best Overall
- Name: Mewtwo VSTAR - 031/078
- Set: Pokemon GO
- White Kyurem: Ice Fang and Ice Burn.
- Shadow Thundurus (Therian): Volt Switch and Wildbolt Storm.
- Mega Diancie: Rock Throw and Rock Slide.
These are guide recommendations, not independent test results or a universal ranking for every roster. Choose from the Pokémon and moves you actually have, and account for both damage and how long your team can stay in the fight.
Choosing between Electric, Ice and Rock
There is no need to force a single counter type: all three attack types exploit Tornadus’s Flying weakness. Compare your available Pokémon by move strength, type match, and survival. The Therian guide describes that forme as somewhat bulkier than Incarnate, and the guides’ counter rankings differ, so do not assume the same lineup or performance estimate applies identically to both.

How many trainers do you need?
Pokémon GO Hub’s 2026 group-size estimates are conditional guide recommendations, not guarantees. Its Incarnate guide estimates three trainers under ideal conditions and recommends larger groups for ordinary or lower-level teams. For Therian, the guide estimates around three high-level trainers in ideal conditions, or four to seven in normal conditions. Team strength, levels and moves can change the practical difficulty, so treat ideal-condition minimums as a floor rather than a general target.
Tornadus CP range and raid-boss CP
The following encounter ranges are from Pokémon GO Hub’s 2026 forme-specific raid guides. Weather-boosted encounters are level 25 in Windy weather; without the boost, they are level 20.
