No. Troy Baker said he is not voicing Jason in Grand Theft Auto VI. In an interview with The Movie Dweeb, reported by GameSpot on April 8, 2024, Baker rejected the fan theory that he played Jason after viewers thought a brief line in the first trailer sounded like him. His denial does not identify the actor who voices Jason.
Why fans thought Troy Baker voiced Jason
The theory followed the first GTA VI trailer, released in December 2023. Some viewers thought Jason’s brief line sounded like Baker, a prolific voice actor. GameSpot reported that Baker addressed the comparison in an interview with The Movie Dweeb and said it was a compliment, but that he was not the performer. GameSpot’s report recounts the theory and Baker’s response.

What Baker said about Jason’s actual performer
Baker emphasized that the person who played Jason should receive credit for the role. As quoted by GameSpot from the interview, he said: “I want that guy, whoever it is, to get credit for his work, because I’m sure it’s going to be great. That’s a grind. Those guys pour themselves into those characters and they deserve all of the credit for their work.”
That statement is a denial, not a casting reveal: Baker did not name Jason’s voice actor.

Who voices Jason Duval in GTA 6?
The sources cited here do not establish Jason’s voice actor. Rockstar’s official character page identifies Jason Duval and gives his background, but does not credit a performer. A GTA Playbook cast reference, last updated September 28, 2026, likewise says no actor has been credited for Jason: Who are the voice actors in GTA 6?
Rockstar describes Jason as someone who grew up around grifters and crooks, served in the Army, and later worked for local drug runners in the Keys. The page says meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to happen to him. Its line, “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder,” is character copy—not a voice-actor credit.

GameSpot’s 2024 report also said Rockstar had not announced the voice cast at that time. That is contemporaneous information, not a current statement about the entire cast. The official character page and the September 2026 cast reference cited above still do not establish who voices Jason.
