Turok: Origins is no longer expected to launch in 2026. Nintendo Life reported on August 26, 2026, that the game had shifted from an expected autumn 2026 launch to Spring 2027. That season is a reported window, not a confirmed exact date: Nintendo’s official Switch 2 listing gives only the year 2027, while the PlayStation Store listing says the release date is to be determined.
What is the Turok: Origins release date?
As of October 8, 2026, there is no exact launch date established across platforms. Nintendo Life reported that the planned window moved from autumn 2026 to Spring 2027. Nintendo’s official UK page lists the Switch 2 game for 2027, and the PlayStation Store page lists its date as “To be determined.”
Those listings do not confirm the same level of detail: treat Spring 2027 as the window reported by Nintendo Life, not as a date independently confirmed on every store page.
Which platforms are listed?

What kind of game is Turok: Origins?
Saber Interactive describes Turok: Origins as a third-person science-fiction shooter about fighting dinosaurs and an alien threat. Its announced features include solo play and cooperative play for up to three players. The official site describes missions across multiple planets and environments, with weapons such as plasma rifles, ray guns, sniper rifles, bows and shotguns.
DNA and suit upgrades
The game’s announced progression system uses DNA gathered from enemies and the environment to unlock and upgrade suit powers. Xbox Wire’s September 1, 2026 preview covered a gamescom build and also described a campaign playable by up to three people; that is a preview of a build, not an assessment of the finished game.

Why the title’s 2026 claim is out of date
The earlier expectation was an autumn 2026 launch. Nintendo Life reported the move to Spring 2027 on August 26, 2026, making a 2026 release claim stale as of October 8, 2026. The available official store pages provide less precise timing: Nintendo gives 2027 and PlayStation gives no determined date.
